What the Kanban Method Covers and Why It MattersUntitledA Practical Guide to Visual Workflow

Kanban Training is a practical, non-certification skills programme that teaches you how to run work as a visual, pull-based system. Rooted in the Toyota Production System, where Taiichi Ohno first used kanban signals to trigger just-in-time production, and later formalised for knowledge work by David J. Anderson, the method helps teams see their work, limit overload and improve flow. Over a focused one-day programme you cover both sides of the approach: manufacturing Kanban (production and withdrawal cards, supermarkets, kanban sizing and JIT pull) and agile Kanban for software, IT and services (Kanban boards, WIP limits, flow metrics and the cumulative flow diagram). It suits operations and manufacturing managers, supply chain professionals, Scrum Masters, agile coaches and IT delivery leaders across Argentina. There is no exam. You leave able to design and run a Kanban system, and to apply it the very next day. Start your Kanban journey with Invensis Learning.

The Kanban Skills You Will Put to WorkPractical Capability, Day One

This programme turns Kanban theory into capability you can use immediately. By the end, you can design a pull system, run a Kanban board, set WIP limits and use flow metrics to keep work moving in manufacturing, IT and agile environments.

    Design Pull-Based Production Systems

Build manufacturing Kanban systems using production and withdrawal cards, supermarkets and two-bin setups. Calculate kanban quantities and the number of cards to cap inventory and enable just-in-time pull production.

    Build and Run Kanban Boards

Design agile Kanban boards for software, IT and service teams with clear columns, swimlanes, classes of service and a definition of done, so the whole workflow is visible from request to delivery.

Set WIP Limits That Improve Flow

Apply work-in-progress limits that stop overload, surface bottlenecks and shift the team from starting work to finishing it, creating a steady, self-organising flow of value.

Measure Lead Time, Cycle Time and Throughput

Use core flow metrics and Little's Law to make delivery predictable, set realistic commitments and forecast completion from real data rather than guesswork or estimation.

    Read the Cumulative Flow Diagram

Interpret the cumulative flow diagram to see where work is piling up, spot widening or flat bands, and pinpoint the stages holding up delivery so you can act quickly.

    Implement and Sustain Kanban

Roll out Kanban in manufacturing or knowledge work using the start-with-what-you-do-now principle, blend it with Scrum as Scrumban, and keep improving flow over time.

    General

What is Kanban and what does the training cover?

Kanban is a visual, pull-based method for managing work, first used in the Toyota Production System and later adapted for knowledge work by David J. Anderson. The one-day, non-certification course covers both manufacturing Kanban (pull systems, cards, supermarkets, sizing) and agile Kanban (boards, WIP limits, flow metrics).

Is Kanban Training worth it for professionals in Argentina?

Yes. Kanban skills are in demand across Argentina's fast-growing software and outsourcing sector and its large automotive and manufacturing base. The ability to visualise work, limit overload and improve flow is valued in agile, IT, operations and supply chain roles alike.

    Who should attend this course?

The training suits operations and manufacturing managers, supply chain professionals, Scrum Masters, agile coaches, IT and software delivery managers, project managers and anyone responsible for the flow of work through a production or service system.

Do I need prior experience or Lean knowledge?

No. There are no prerequisites. The course introduces every Kanban concept from first principles, so beginners are welcome. Some familiarity with Lean or production operations is helpful for the manufacturing modules but is not required.

Does the course cover both manufacturing and agile Kanban?

Yes. You learn manufacturing Kanban rooted in the Toyota Production System, including production and withdrawal cards, supermarkets, kanban sizing and just-in-time pull, and agile Kanban for software, IT and services, including boards, WIP limits, flow metrics and Scrumban.

    Pricing

How much does Kanban Training cost in Argentina?

Fees vary by delivery mode, group size and schedule, so pricing is available on request. Live online, classroom and corporate options are all offered. Request a quote and a learning advisor will share current pricing for your preferred format.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training across all six Kanban modules, structured courseware, hands-on design exercises, practice activities, learner support and a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for manufacturing, IT and cross-functional teams. Contact us for a tailored quote for your organisation.

Are there discounts for booking as a team?

Yes. Group and corporate bookings qualify for volume-based rates, and onsite delivery can be more cost-effective for larger teams. Ask about group pricing when you request a quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that best suits you.

    Assessment

How is learning assessed in this course?

There is no formal examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Kanban design exercises, case-study examples and group activities throughout the day, so you apply the concepts as you learn them.

Do I receive a certificate after completing the training?

Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning once you complete the one-day programme, recognising the practical Kanban skills you have built.

    Is Kanban Training a certification?

No. This is a practical skills course, not a certification, and there is no awarding body or exam. You gain workplace-ready Kanban capability and a completion certificate that confirms your attendance and learning.

Will the skills expire or need renewal?

No. The Kanban skills you learn are immediately applicable and do not expire. There is nothing to renew, and you can keep using and improving your Kanban system in your organisation over time.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will be able to design a manufacturing pull system, build an agile Kanban board, set WIP limits, measure lead time, cycle time and throughput, read a cumulative flow diagram, and plan a Kanban rollout in a manufacturing or knowledge-work setting.

    Course Content

What topics does the Kanban course cover?

The course spans six modules: Kanban origins and pull production, manufacturing Kanban types and mechanics, kanban sizing and implementation, knowledge-work Kanban boards and WIP limits, flow metrics and the cumulative flow diagram, and implementing and sustaining Kanban.

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes. The programme starts from first principles and needs no prior Kanban or Lean experience. Hands-on exercises and clear examples help beginners build confidence and apply the concepts to their own work.

Does the course include hands-on exercises?

Yes. You practise kanban quantity calculation, kanban loop design, Kanban board design, WIP limit setting and cumulative flow diagram interpretation using realistic manufacturing and knowledge-work scenarios.

What is the difference between manufacturing and agile Kanban?

Manufacturing Kanban uses cards and supermarkets to pull physical production just in time. Agile Kanban applies the same visualise-and-limit principles to knowledge work using boards, WIP limits and flow metrics. The course covers both and how they connect.

How long is the Kanban Training?

The programme runs for one day, totalling eight hours. It can be delivered as a single full day or two half-days, covering all six modules with hands-on exercises throughout.
