    What is the format of the EXIN ASM exam?

    The EXIN Agile Scrum Master exam is closed book with 40 multiple-choice questions. It is delivered through EXIN online proctoring or at an accredited testing location, and tests applied Scrum Master competency, not just recall.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and you have 90 minutes (1.5 hours) to complete it.

    What is the passing score for the ASM exam?

    You need 65% to pass, which is 26 of the 40 questions answered correctly.

    What topics does the ASM exam cover?

    The exam covers five topics from the EXIN specification: Agile Way of Thinking (20%), Scrum Master Role (25%), Agile Estimating, Planning, Monitoring and Control (27.5%), Complex Projects (12.5%) and Adopting Agile (15%).

    What if I do not pass the exam first time?

    You can re-sit the EXIN exam; specific re-sit policy and voucher validity are set by EXIN. Our training includes practice questions and exam preparation support to help you sit with confidence. Ask your advisor about re-sit options.

    Can a beginner take the ASM course?

    Yes. While Agile Scrum Foundation knowledge is recommended, the course is designed to build you up from Scrum fundamentals to Scrum Master competency, with hands-on facilitation and coaching practice throughout.

    What will I learn in the training?

    You will learn to apply the agile mindset, own the Scrum Master role as a servant leader, facilitate Scrum events, estimate and track delivery, support complex and scaled work, and drive agile adoption across the organisation.

    How long is the training?

    The Agile Scrum Master programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered over two full days or four half-days, as exam preparation and practical Scrum Master skill development.

    Is the courseware aligned with the EXIN specification?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the EXIN Agile Scrum Master examination specification and the five exam topic areas, and reflects the Scrum Guide and Agile Manifesto principles.

    Are practice questions included?
