What Is Driving Demand for Agile Project Skills in Angola

    Diversifying Beyond Oil

Angola is expanding into telecoms, ICT, agriculture and finance to reduce oil dependence. These new programmes need structured agile delivery that moves fast while staying aligned to business benefit.

AgilePM builds governed, benefit-led delivery skills

    Digital Transformation at Scale

National programmes such as PADA, Crescer Digital and the INFOSI national cloud demand iterative delivery with clear control and firm foundations, the exact gap the AgilePM framework closes.

AgilePM builds lifecycle and timeboxing skills

    Governance in Regulated Sectors

Banks and public bodies must satisfy audit and compliance while adopting agile ways of working. AgilePM provides the governed structure and escalation that Scrum alone does not offer.

AgilePM builds control and risk capability

    Agile Talent Shortage

Angola's project pool is thin in certified agile practitioners. Holding both AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner makes professionals rare and sought-after as employers scale agile delivery.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner is a two-level agile project management certification based on the DSDM framework and governed by the Agile Business Consortium. Foundation validates your knowledge of the framework, while Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor it to real project scenarios.

    General

What is the AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner certification?

AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner is a two-level agile project management certification based on the DSDM framework and governed by the Agile Business Consortium. Foundation validates your knowledge of the framework, while Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor it to real project scenarios.

Who should take AgilePM training in Angola?

The training suits project managers, PRINCE2 holders, business analysts, testers and delivery leads who want to run agile projects with governance. It is popular across Angola's oil and gas, banking, telecoms and public-sector projects where structured agile delivery is in demand.

Is AgilePM worth it in Angola?

Yes. As Angola diversifies its economy and scales digital programmes, employers increasingly want professionals who can deliver agile without losing control. Holding both AgilePM credentials opens agile delivery, project and PMO roles, where PMO Manager salaries in Luanda average around Kz5M a year.

Who owns and governs the AgilePM framework?

The AgilePM framework is owned and published by the Agile Business Consortium, formerly the DSDM Consortium. It is built on DSDM, the original agile framework created in 1994, and is set out in the current edition of the AgilePM Handbook.

    Is AgilePM recognised internationally?

Yes. AgilePM is recognised in over 150 countries and is particularly strong where structured project governance is needed alongside agile delivery. The credential is portable across sectors and regions, making it valuable to professionals working in and beyond Angola.

    Pricing

How much does AgilePM training cost in Angola?

AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner training is available on request, as pricing varies by delivery format and schedule. Contact a learning advisor for current fees and upcoming batches, and ask about corporate or group rates for teams.

What is included in the AgilePM course fee?

The training fee typically includes instructor-led sessions, courseware aligned to the AgilePM exam syllabi, practice questions, mock exams, case studies and learner support. Exam vouchers are usually part of the package; confirm current inclusions when you enrol.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers are typically included in the combined training package, but this varies by provider and region. Confirm whether both exam fees are bundled with your enrolment before you book.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, delivery teams and departments across Angola. Request a tailored quote for your team.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the AgilePM Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 40 minutes. It is closed book, and the pass mark is 50%, meaning 25 correct out of 50. It covers the AgilePM philosophy, principles, lifecycle, roles, products, MoSCoW and timeboxing.

What is the format of the AgilePM Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has four scenario-based questions worth 15 marks each, 60 marks in total, over two hours. It is open book, so the AgilePM Handbook is permitted, and the pass mark is 50%, meaning 30 out of 60 marks.

What are the pass marks for the two exams?

Both exams require 50% to pass. That is 25 out of 50 questions for Foundation and 30 out of 60 marks for Practitioner. You must sit and pass both exams to hold both credentials.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

Open book means the AgilePM Handbook is permitted during the Practitioner exam. However, the four scenario questions require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient handbook navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can re-sit the exam you did not pass. Our training includes mock exams and exam-technique guidance to help you clear both Foundation and Practitioner on your first attempt. Confirm the current re-sit policy with our team.

Are there prerequisites to sit the exams?

AgilePM Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The Practitioner exam requires the AgilePM Foundation certification, or an accepted equivalent, so the levels are designed to be taken in sequence.

    Course Content

What topics does the AgilePM training cover?

The programme covers the eight AgilePM principles, the six-phase lifecycle and management products, the business, technical and management roles, MoSCoW prioritisation, timeboxing, and planning, control and risk, at both Foundation and Practitioner levels.

What standard is the courseware based on?

The courseware is aligned to the current edition of the AgilePM Handbook, published by the Agile Business Consortium, and to the official AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi. The framework is built on the DSDM method.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No prior experience is required to begin. Foundation is open to all, and the combined programme builds knowledge before moving to practitioner-level application, so beginners and experienced project professionals can both follow the pathway.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive courseware aligned to the AgilePM syllabi, industry case studies, practice questions, mock exams for both levels and topic-wise quizzes, plus guidance on open-book handbook navigation for the Practitioner exam.

Will I get a certificate after the training?

You receive a course completion certificate after meeting the training requirements. On passing each official exam, you earn the respective AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner digital certificates from the certification body.
