Unlike some senior PMI credentials, PMI-ACP does not require a peer-panel review. Is the PMI-ACP worth it for professionals in the UAE?

Yes. Agile is now the default delivery model across UAE banking, government, telecom and technology, and certified practitioners are in short supply. Agile coach pay in the UAE averages around AED 341,000, and PMI reports certified agile professionals earn roughly 28% more than non-certified peers.

Is PMI-ACP recognised in the United Arab Emirates?

Yes. PMI-ACP is a globally recognised PMI credential valued by UAE and international employers, including banks, government entities, telecom operators and consulting firms that run agile and digital transformation programmes.

What are the eligibility requirements for PMI-ACP?

PMI requires a secondary degree, 2,000 hours of general project experience in the last five years, 1,500 hours of agile project experience in the last three years, and 21 contact hours of agile training. PMP or PgMP holders already meet the general project experience requirement.

How long is the PMI-ACP valid and how do I renew it?

PMI-ACP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in agile topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle and pay the renewal fee.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

What is the format of the PMI-ACP exam?

The PMI-ACP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on PMI's Examination Content Outline. It is delivered through Pearson VUE, either online proctored or at a test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 120 multiple-choice questions and a duration of three hours. Results are reported by domain as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement.

What does the PMI-ACP exam cover?

The exam covers seven agile domains: Agile Principles and Mindset, Value-Driven Delivery, Stakeholder Engagement, Team Performance, Adaptive Planning, Problem Detection and Resolution, and Continuous Improvement.

Is there a fixed passing score for PMI-ACP?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis, so the best approach is broad mastery across all seven agile domains rather than focusing on a single area.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts; our training includes practice and revision support to help you prepare thoroughly.

The programme provides 24 contact hours of instructor-led agile training, which more than satisfies the 21 contact hours PMI requires before you apply for the exam.
