    Is there an exam for Design for Six Sigma training?

    No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on DFSS tool exercises, case examples and team discussion during the one-day programme.

    Do I receive a certificate after the training?

    You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning on finishing the programme. This is a record of completion rather than a formal certification from an external awarding body, as the course does not include an exam or credential.

    How am I assessed during the course?

    There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply the DMADV tools to realistic design scenarios through hands-on exercises, such as VOC to CTQ flow-down, a House of Quality, a Pugh matrix and a Design FMEA, so you practise each tool during the training.

    How long is the Design for Six Sigma training?

    The programme runs for one day, totalling eight hours. It covers all six DMADV phases, from DFSS foundations and voice of the customer through CTQ flow-down, QFD, concept selection, Design FMEA, robust design and design verification.

    Can I apply DFSS at work straight after the course?

    What DFSS tools will I practise?

    You practise voice of the customer capture, Kano classification, CTQ flow-down, the Quality Function Deployment House of Quality, Pugh concept selection, Design FMEA with RPN scoring, the P-diagram for robust design, and design verification and validation.

    Is the course hands-on or lecture only?

    It is hands-on. Concept explanations and real-world design case examples are combined with practical exercises that run throughout the day, so you apply each DMADV tool to realistic product and process design scenarios.
