    Is the Green Belt certification worth it in Vietnam?

    Yes. With record manufacturing investment and a shortage of improvement talent, certified Green Belts are in demand across electronics, automotive, footwear and FMCG. Quality and continuous improvement roles in Vietnam commonly average around VND 528M to VND 588M a year, and the credential is recognised by global employers.

    Who should take this certification?

    It suits quality engineers, production and operations staff, supervisors, analysts and anyone who supports or leads improvement projects. It also fits professionals in healthcare, banking, logistics and services who want a data-driven, practitioner-level quality credential.

    Do I need a Yellow Belt or prior experience first?

    No. There are no prerequisites for the Green Belt. Training and real-world experience are recommended but not required, so beginners can start here while professionals can build directly on existing quality knowledge.

    How long is the certification valid?

    The IASSC Green Belt holds Current status for three years from the date of certification. To keep it current, you pass a recertification exam before the elapse date, or within 90 days after.

    Is the exam fee included in the training price?

    No. The exam voucher is purchased separately from IASSC and billed in USD under regional pricing, which can vary by location. The training prepares you for the exam, but the voucher cost is not part of the training fee.

    What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

    You can prepare with confidence using the practice questions and mock tests included in the training, and you may retake the exam by purchasing another voucher. Our trainers help you target weak areas before you sit it again.

    What is the format of the Green Belt exam?

    It is a closed-book exam of 100 questions, using multiple-choice and true or false formats, with a three-hour allotted time. Some forms include up to 10 additional unscored questions. It can be taken online proctored or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    What score do I need to pass?

    You need a minimum of 385 points out of 550. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the five DMAIC phases, so broad mastery across Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control is the best approach.

    Where and how do I take the exam?

    The exam is delivered by IASSC either through web-based online proctoring, available on demand, or at Pearson VUE test centres in over 165 countries. You choose the delivery mode when you purchase your voucher.

    Are there eligibility requirements to sit the exam?

    No. There are no formal prerequisites to sit the Green Belt exam. Training and project experience are recommended but not mandatory, and you can take an optional readiness check before booking.

    Course Content

    Can a complete beginner take this course?

    Yes. The programme starts with Six Sigma fundamentals and builds statistical concepts step by step, with hands-on examples. No prior statistics or quality background is required, and trainers support you throughout.

    What topics does the training cover?

    It covers the five DMAIC phases: Define (charters, voice of the customer, CTQs), Measure (process mapping, MSA, capability), Analyse (hypothesis testing, inferential statistics), Improve (regression, designed experiments) and Control (SPC, 5S, Poka-Yoke, control plans).

    Are practice questions and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock tests mapped to the 100-question exam format, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

    Is the courseware aligned to the official syllabus?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the IASSC Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge, which structures the content around the five DMAIC phases tested in the exam.

    Will I receive a certificate of completion?

    Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate covering the full 32 hours of training, separate from the IASSC credential you earn by passing the exam.
