Your Observability Career Path in UzbekistanRoles, Demand and Pay

Observability is fast becoming a core hiring signal across Uzbekistan's technology sector, valued by IT Park resident firms, digital banks, fintechs and e-commerce platforms that run large, cloud-native systems. As the country pushes its IT services toward UZS 100 trillion in 2026 and digitises most public services, employers increasingly want engineers who can instrument systems and keep them reliable. Demand runs from monitoring and DevOps roles up to SRE and platform engineering leads, and here is what the market is telling us right now.

Why Observability Talent Is in Demand in Uzbekistan

    Cloud-Native Complexity

Uzbek fintechs and marketplaces such as Uzum and TBC Uzbekistan run distributed, microservices systems where traditional dashboards miss failures, the exact gap observability is built to close.

    OBSF builds three-pillar observability skills

    Reliability Pressure in Digital Banking

Digital banks and payment platforms need high uptime and fast recovery, so engineers who can define SLOs, track error budgets and cut mean time to resolution are in strong demand.

OBSF builds SLI, SLO and alerting skills

    From Monitoring to Observability

Many teams still rely on alert-when-broken monitoring that cannot explain novel failures. Observability skills let engineers understand why systems fail, not just that they did.

    OBSF explains observability beyond monitoring

    Observability and SRE Talent Shortage

Uzbekistan's IT workforce is growing fast, but credentialed observability and SRE talent is scarce. A recognised DevOps Institute credential helps professionals stand out to employers.

OBSF makes certified engineers stand out

    Rapid Digital-Government Rollout

With 70 per cent of public services moving online by 2026, government platforms need engineers who can keep high-traffic services observable, reliable and quick to recover.

OBSF builds reliability and incident-response skills

    OpenTelemetry Standardisation

As teams adopt vendor-neutral instrumentation, demand grows for engineers who understand OpenTelemetry, telemetry pipelines and sampling to control cost while keeping full visibility.

The Observability Skills You Will MasterMetrics, Logs, Traces and Beyond

This section answers what you will learn in Observability Foundation training. Across six focused modules you build practical, job-ready skills in metrics, logs, traces, OpenTelemetry, SLOs and incident response, mapped directly to the DevOps Institute OBSF exam blueprint.

    Observability Beyond Monitoring

Understand what observability is, how it differs from monitoring, and why the three pillars of metrics, logs and traces matter for cloud-native and microservices systems. You will be able to explain observability maturity to teams and leadership.

    Metrics, Logs and Distributed Tracing

Work with counters, gauges and histograms, structured logging and log aggregation, and distributed traces with spans and context propagation. You will learn to correlate all three signals for fast, confident root-cause analysis.

SLIs, SLOs, SLAs and Error Budgets

Define service-level indicators that matter to users, write meaningful SLOs, and use error budgets to balance reliability with delivery speed. You will connect SLAs to real customer-facing reliability commitments.

    OpenTelemetry and Telemetry Pipelines

Apply OpenTelemetry SDKs, collectors and semantic conventions, and build telemetry pipelines with head-based and tail-based sampling. You will learn to manage the cost of high-cardinality observability data.

    Alerting and Incident Response

Move from alert-on-symptom to burn-rate alerting, design on-call rotations that reduce fatigue, and run structured retrospectives. You will practise blameless postmortems and continuous-learning loops.

    SRE, AIOps and Exam Readiness

See how observability underpins mature SRE practice and where AIOps and anomaly detection fit. You will prepare for the 40-question, 60-minute open-book OBSF exam with sample questions and timing strategy.

    Exam

What is the format of the OBSF exam?

The Observability Foundation exam is open book with single-answer multiple-choice questions. It is delivered online, proctored via PeopleCert OnVUE, or at an authorised test centre, and is based on the DevOps Institute OBSF exam blueprint.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and you have 60 minutes to complete it. It is an open-book paper, so preparation focuses on understanding the concepts rather than memorising them.

What is the passing score for the OBSF exam?

You pass at 65 per cent, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. Our mock exams help you gauge your readiness against this threshold before you sit the real paper.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

If you do not pass first time, you can resit the exam under DevOps Institute policy. Our training includes first-attempt guidance, mock exams and practice questions to give you the best chance of passing early. Ask us about resit options.

What topics does the OBSF exam cover?

The exam covers observability principles and the three pillars, metrics, logs and distributed tracing, SLIs, SLOs and error budgets, OpenTelemetry and telemetry pipelines, alerting and incident response, and the role of observability in SRE.

Which standard is the OBSF exam based on?

The exam is based on the current DevOps Institute Observability Foundation Exam Blueprint, also called the Body of Knowledge. All course content and terminology is sourced from the DevOps Institute to keep your preparation accurate.
