    It is an open-book, objective-testing exam. The COBIT 5 Assessor Guide: Using COBIT 5 and the COBIT Process Assessment Model are the only permitted materials. Questions test assessment planning, rating and reporting at application and analysis level.

    How many questions are in the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 8 questions, each worth 10 marks, for 80 marks in total. You have 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete it.

    What is the passing score for COBIT 5 Assessor?

    The pass mark is 50%. You need 40 marks or more out of the 80 available to pass.

    How is the exam delivered?

    You can take the exam online with PeopleCert live proctoring, available 24/7, or at an authorised PeopleCert test centre. Both use the same open-book format.

    What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

    You can resit the COBIT 5 Assessor exam; resit fees and policy are set by PeopleCert. Our training includes mock questions and open-book technique to help you prepare for a first-time pass.

    What is the COBIT 5 Process Assessment Model?

    The COBIT 5 PAM is the ISO/IEC 15504-aligned model used to assess process capability. It has two dimensions: the 37 COBIT 5 processes (what is assessed) and six capability levels from 0 Incomplete to 5 Optimising (how well each is performed).

    Do I need prior experience to take this course?

    You must hold COBIT 5 Foundation, and Implementation is recommended. Practical IT audit or governance experience also helps, as the Assessor exam requires professional judgement in realistic assessment scenarios.
