    What is the format of the SIAM Professional exam?

    The EXIN SIAM Professional exam is closed book and scenario-based. Each question presents a complex multi-supplier organisational scenario, and you select the best course of action based on SIAM principles and the SIAM Body of Knowledge.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 questions and you are given 90 minutes (1.5 hours) to complete it. It is delivered online with EXIN proctoring or at an accredited testing location.

    What is the passing score for the exam?

    The pass mark is 65 per cent, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. Our scenario-based preparation is built to help you reach that threshold with confidence.

    Do I need SIAM Foundation before the Professional exam?

    EXIN SIAM Foundation is the recommended prerequisite. The Professional level assumes foundational SIAM knowledge and tests application and analysis in complex scenarios, so Foundation gives you the grounding to succeed.

    What topic areas does the exam cover?

    The exam covers five topic areas, each weighted around 20 per cent: Discovery and Strategy, Plan and Build, Implement, Run and Improve, and SIAM Practices Across the Stages, per the EXIN SIAM Professional Examination Specification.

    What will I learn in the SIAM Professional training?

    You will learn to select a service integrator model, design governance and processes, manage implementation and provider onboarding, run and improve a live SIAM ecosystem, and apply cross-cutting SIAM practices. Learning is grounded in the SIAM Body of Knowledge and mapped to the five exam topic areas.

    How is the training delivered and how long is it?

    The programme runs as roughly 16 hours of instruction, typically over two days, available online (live virtual) or as classroom and corporate formats. It consolidates advanced SIAM knowledge and prepares you for the scenario-based exam.

    Can a beginner take this course?

    SIAM Professional is an advanced credential intended for experienced ITSM professionals, and EXIN SIAM Foundation is recommended first. If you are new to SIAM, we can guide you to Foundation before you progress to the Professional level.

    Are practice scenarios and mock questions included?

    Yes. The programme includes scenario-based practice and mock questions modelled on the EXIN exam so you can rehearse the judgement and decision-making the real exam requires.
