    The VeriSM Foundation exam is closed-book with single-answer multiple-choice questions, based on the EXIN VeriSM Foundation Examination Specification. You can take it online through EXIN proctoring or at an accredited test location.

    How many questions are on the VeriSM Foundation exam?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions with a time limit of 60 minutes. It covers seven topic areas defined in the EXIN examination specification.

    What is the passing score for the exam?

    You need 65 percent to pass, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly.

    What topics does the exam cover?

    It covers seven areas: the Service Organization, Service Culture, People and Organizational Structure, the VeriSM model, Progressive Practices, Innovative Technologies, and Getting Started, with the VeriSM model carrying the most weight.

    Where can I take the VeriSM Foundation exam?

    You can sit the exam online via EXIN's proctored system or at an EXIN accredited test location. It is usually arranged through your accredited training provider as part of a training and exam bundle.

    What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

    The management mesh is the central VeriSM concept. It integrates four elements, resources, environment, emerging practices and management practices, so an organisation can build a flexible service approach suited to its context.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive EXIN-aligned courseware, practice questions, references to the examination specification, and exam-preparation resources, delivered in live virtual or classroom formats.

    How long is the VeriSM Foundation training?

    The training is typically delivered over two days, around 16 hours in total, either as full days or spread across shorter sessions, with the exact schedule depending on the format you choose.

    How does VeriSM differ from ITIL?

    ITIL is a prescriptive framework, while VeriSM is a flexible approach that positions ITIL as one of many practices in the management mesh. VeriSM helps you select and combine ITIL, Agile, DevOps and others for your context, so the two are complementary.
