What is the format of the COBIT 5 Implementation exam?

It is an open-book, objective-testing exam based on the COBIT 5 Implementation Exam Syllabus (2022 version). Only the COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide are permitted, and it is delivered via PeopleCert online proctoring or at a test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has four questions, each worth 20 marks, for a total of 80 marks. You have two and a half hours, that is 150 minutes, to complete it.

What is the passing score for COBIT 5 Implementation?

The pass mark is 50%. You must score 40 marks or more out of the 80 available. Each of the four questions carries 20 marks.

Which materials can I use during the open-book exam?

Only two references are permitted: the COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide. No other materials are allowed, so the course includes practice in navigating both efficiently under exam conditions.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

COBIT 5 Foundation is required before the Implementation exam, and Foundation knowledge is assumed in the course. There is no formal work-experience requirement, though the level is designed for those who lead or support governance improvement.
