    What is the format of the ASM exam?

    The EXIN Agile Scrum Master exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination with single-answer questions. It is delivered online with proctoring or at EXIN accredited test locations through accredited training providers.

    How many questions are on the ASM exam and how long is it?

    The ASM exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and a duration of 90 minutes (1.5 hours). Questions are distributed across the five EXIN ASM topic areas.

    What is the passing score for the ASM exam?

    The pass mark is 65%, which means answering 26 of the 40 questions correctly. Broad mastery across all five topic areas is the best way to prepare.

    What does the ASM exam cover?

    The exam covers five topic areas: Agile Way of Thinking (20%), Scrum Master Role (25%), Agile Estimating, Planning, Monitoring and Control (27.5%), Complex Projects (12.5%) and Adopting Agile (15%), as set out in the EXIN Examination Specification.

    What if I do not pass the ASM exam first time?
