Assessment

Is there an exam for Azure DevOps training?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination. Your learning is reinforced through hands-on Azure DevOps exercises throughout the one-day programme rather than a formal test.

Do I get a certificate after the training?

Yes. On completing the programme you receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning, evidencing that you have built practical Azure DevOps skills across the full delivery lifecycle on Microsoft Azure.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. You apply each concept through live exercises in the Azure DevOps portal and CLI, configuring pipelines, infrastructure as code and monitoring, so you build capability by doing throughout the day.

Is this an official Microsoft certification?

No. This is a practical skills training course, not a certification, and no external body or examination is involved. Azure DevOps services are products of Microsoft Corporation; the training builds hands-on proficiency in using them.

Course Content

What topics does the Azure DevOps course cover?

The course covers DevOps principles and the Azure ecosystem, source control and CI with Azure Repos and Pipelines, continuous delivery with multi-stage pipelines, Agile planning with Azure Boards, infrastructure as code with ARM and Bicep, containerisation with ACR and AKS, monitoring, and DevSecOps.

Which Azure DevOps services will I learn?

You work with all five Azure DevOps services: Azure Repos for Git source control, Azure Pipelines for CI/CD, Azure Boards for Agile planning, Azure Artifacts for package management, and Azure Test Plans for test management.

Does the course include hands-on practice?

Yes. Hands-on labs run throughout the programme. You create a repository with branch policies, write a YAML CI pipeline, add a deployment stage, deploy a Bicep template, configure a Key Vault-linked variable group, and set up Azure Monitor alerts.

Do I need an Azure account for the course?

Yes. You should have access to an Azure subscription and an Azure DevOps organisation before the training. The free tier at dev.azure.com covers up to 5 users. Check with us whether a shared training environment is provided.

Is the course suitable for beginners?

Yes. There are no formal prerequisites, and every Azure DevOps service is introduced from a practitioner perspective. Some familiarity with Azure and basic development or operations concepts is helpful but not required.
