How is my learning assessed?

Course Content

What topics does the AWS DevOps course cover?

The course covers six modules: DevOps and the AWS ecosystem; source control and CI with CodeCommit and CodeBuild; continuous delivery with CodeDeploy and CodePipeline; infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and the AWS CDK; containers with Amazon ECS and EKS; and monitoring, DevSecOps and continuous improvement.

Which AWS tools will I get hands-on with?

You work with AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy and CodePipeline, plus CloudFormation and the AWS CDK for infrastructure as code, Amazon ECR, ECS and EKS for containers, and Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring and observability.

How long is the training and what is the format?

The programme runs for one day, totalling eight hours, and can also be delivered as two half-day sessions. It combines concept explanations with live, hands-on AWS Console and CLI exercises throughout.

Does the course cover security and containers?

Yes. It covers DevSecOps practices such as shift-left security scanning, IAM least privilege and secrets management, and includes containerisation with Docker, Amazon ECR, and deployment to Amazon ECS and EKS.
