    Yes. The PgMP is a globally recognised PMI credential valued across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, including giga-project developers, Vision 2030 delivery bodies, banks, energy companies and consultancies that run large, strategy-critical programmes.

    Is the PMP required before taking the PgMP?

    No. An active PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite for the PgMP. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

    What makes the PgMP different from the PMP?

    What is the format of the PgMP exam?

    The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario-based questions across the five programme management performance domains.

    How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

    The PgMP exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours. It is delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    What is the PgMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is mandatory in addition to the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

    What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

    PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so aim for broad mastery across all five performance domains.

    How many attempts do I get if I do not pass?

    You are permitted up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility period from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts, so confirm the current amounts with PMI before rebooking.
