The Skills You Will BuildApplying DMAIC at Black Belt Depth

This Black Belt programme helps experienced professionals build advanced statistical capability, Lean fluency and project leadership. By the end, you can lead complex DMAIC projects from problem to controlled, sustained result.

Lead Projects with the DMAIC Framework

What you will learn in the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt programme starts with leading a full DMAIC project: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. You will scope problems with a charter, voice of the customer and CTQs, then drive each phase to a measurable result.

    Build a Data-Driven Measure Foundation

Map processes with SIPOC and value stream mapping, run measurement system analysis and Gage R&R, and assess process capability. You will quantify performance using DPMO, FTY and RTY so improvement is grounded in reliable data, not opinion.

    Apply Advanced Statistical Analysis

Master the Analyze phase with inferential statistics, the central limit theorem and hypothesis testing for normal and non-normal data, including t-tests, ANOVA, Mann-Whitney and Chi-Squared, to isolate the true root causes of variation.

Optimise Processes with Regression and DoE

In the Improve phase, build simple and multiple regression models and design experiments, including full and fractional factorial designs. You will learn to test changes rigorously and confirm which factors genuinely move the outcome.

Sustain Gains with Statistical Process Control

Hold improvements in the Control phase using SPC charts such as I-MR, Xbar-R, P, U, NP, CuSum and EWMA, plus control and response plans. You will learn to monitor processes so hard-won gains do not slip back over time.

Integrate Lean Tools at Black Belt Depth

Combine Lean with statistics using 5S, the seven wastes, Kanban and Poka-Yoke within DMAIC. You will be ready to lead complex projects, mentor Green Belts and connect process improvement to business outcomes.
