    How many questions are on the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

    The exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks. You have 150 minutes to complete it, and it is an open-book exam in which the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual is permitted.

    What is the passing score for the exam?

    You need 60 percent to pass, which is 42 out of the 70 available marks. Because questions are scenario-based, broad mastery of the method matters more than memorising facts.

    What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

    The PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects 7th Edition manual is permitted during the exam. However, questions require scenario analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient manual navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential, and our training builds both.

    Where can I take the exam?

    You can sit the exam online through PeopleCert's OnVUE proctored system, which is available 24 hours a day, or at a PeopleCert authorised test centre. It is usually arranged through the accredited training package.

    What are the prerequisites to sit the exam?

    You need PRINCE2 Foundation certification, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A, B, C or D. Verify current accepted equivalents with PeopleCert before you apply.
