    What is the format of the Yellow Belt exam?

    The exam is closed book with multiple-choice and true or false questions. It is delivered online with proctoring on demand or at a Pearson VUE test centre, so you can choose the option that fits you.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 60 questions and a two-hour allotted time. Some exam forms include up to 6 additional unscored pretest questions that do not count toward your result.

    What is the passing score for the exam?

    You need a minimum of 230 points out of 300 to pass. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the five DMAIC phases, so prepare broadly rather than focusing on one area.

    Yes. The Yellow Belt is the entry level of the Lean Six Sigma family and assumes no prior knowledge. The trainers build concepts from the ground up with practical examples, so beginners can follow comfortably.

    How long is the training?

    The programme runs for 16 hours of training, usually delivered as two full days or four half-days. The schedule depends on the format you choose.
