    Who should take the Agile Scrum Foundation course?

    ASF suits developers, testers, business analysts, project coordinators, managers and complete beginners joining or supporting a Scrum team. It is the broadest entry point into agile and needs no prior Scrum experience.

    Are there any prerequisites for the certification?

    No. EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, regardless of education, experience or prior agile knowledge. It is the entry level in the EXIN Agile Scrum scheme.

    How long is the ASF certification valid?

    The certification is valid for life. It does not expire, and no renewal, re-examination or continuing education is required once you pass.

    What is the format of the EXIN ASF exam?

    The exam is closed book with single-answer, multiple-choice questions. It is delivered online with EXIN proctoring or at an accredited test location, and can be arranged through your accredited training provider.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 40 questions and you have 60 minutes to complete it. There are no formal prerequisites to sit it.

    What is the passing score for the exam?

    You need 65% to pass, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly.

    Which standard is the exam based on?

    The exam follows the EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation Examination Specification and is aligned to the current Scrum Guide and the Agile Manifesto. It spans five topic areas: Agile Way of Thinking, Scrum Practices, Scrum Planning and Estimation, Monitoring Scrum Projects, and Advanced Scrum Concepts.

    What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?

    You can re-sit the EXIN exam. Our training includes mock exams and first-attempt guidance to help you pass the first time, and our team can advise on re-sit arrangements if you need them.

    What topics does the Agile Scrum Foundation course cover?

    The course covers the five EXIN topic areas: the Agile Way of Thinking (around 20%), Scrum Practices (around 30%), Scrum Planning and Estimation (around 20%), Monitoring Scrum Projects (around 15%) and Advanced Scrum Concepts (around 15%), plus exam preparation.

    Can a complete beginner take this course?

    Yes. ASF is designed for beginners and needs no prior agile or Scrum knowledge. The trainer builds up from first principles, so you can start with confidence even if this is your first agile course.

    What learning materials and practice are provided?

    You receive EXIN-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions and full mock exams, along with trainer-led exercises and discussions that reinforce the Scrum framework.

    Is the courseware aligned with the current EXIN syllabus?
