What Is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Course?UntitledYour Route to Certified Change Leadership

Change Management Certification Training in Qatar equips you to lead the people and culture side of organisational change. The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner (CM-F&P) programme is a globally recognised, two-level qualification that validates both your knowledge of change management models and your ability to apply them to real organisational change scenarios. The course is grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK), maintained by the Change Management Institute, and the Change Management Practitioner Guide (current edition). You work through five topic areas and the established frameworks employers expect, including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model and the McKinsey 7-S Framework. As Qatar diversifies under National Vision 2030, employers across energy, banking, government and telecoms are restructuring, digitising and redesigning services. That makes certified change practitioners who can reduce resistance and embed change increasingly valuable. Built over 40 hours and delivered in live virtual and corporate formats, this training takes you from study to certified with guidance to clear both exams. Start your change management journey with Invensis Learning.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Yes. As Qatar diversifies under National Vision 2030, employers in energy, banking, government and telecoms need practitioners who can manage the people side of change. The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner qualification proves you can apply proven models to real change, positioning you for change, transformation and OD roles.

    General

Is the Change Management certification worth it in Qatar?

Yes. As Qatar diversifies under National Vision 2030, employers in energy, banking, government and telecoms need practitioners who can manage the people side of change. The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner qualification proves you can apply proven models to real change, positioning you for change, transformation and OD roles.

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner course?

It is a two-level qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage organisational change. Foundation validates your understanding of change concepts and models; Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to realistic scenarios. It is grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) and the Change Management Practitioner Guide.

Who should take this change management course?

It suits change managers, project and programme managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners, consultants and senior leaders sponsoring change. There are no formal prerequisites for Foundation, so professionals at any stage can start.

Which change models does the course cover?

The syllabus covers ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence domains and Cialdini's principles of influence, across five topic areas.

    Is the qualification recognised internationally?

Yes. It is recognised across many countries and is well respected wherever change management is treated as a professional discipline. That makes it valuable both in Qatar and if your career takes you abroad.

    Pricing

How much does the change management course cost in Qatar?

Fees vary by delivery format and whether exam vouchers are bundled, so pricing is available on request. The training is usually bought as a combined package covering both Foundation and Practitioner. Request a quote for current pricing in Qatar.

What is included in the course fee?

Fees typically include syllabus-aligned courseware, case studies, Foundation and Practitioner practice questions and mock exams, and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion varies by package, so confirm what is bundled when you request a quote.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package you choose. Some packages bundle both the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others price them separately. Ask a learning advisor to confirm the details for your enrolment.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for HR, PMO and transformation teams in Qatar. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions with a single answer each, taken closed book in 40 minutes. The pass mark is 50 percent, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is delivered by online proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total. It is open book, allowing the Change Management Practitioner Guide, and runs for 2.5 hours. The pass mark is 50 percent, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

How many exams are there in the programme?

There are two separate exams. You must sit and pass both the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam to hold both credentials. In the combined programme, Foundation is usually taken first, followed by Practitioner.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient navigation of the guide and solid method knowledge are both essential.

Are there prerequisites to sit the exams?

Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. To sit the Practitioner exam you need the Change Management Foundation certification, or an accepted equivalent. Verify current accepted equivalents with Invensis Learning.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can retake an exam if needed. Our training includes mock exams, practice questions and first-attempt guidance to help you pass both levels. Ask about retake options and any Flexi Pass available on your plan.

    Course Content

What topics does the change management training cover?

The training covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organisation, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation builds knowledge; Practitioner builds application to real scenarios.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No prior change management experience is required for Foundation. The course is suitable for professionals moving into change roles as well as experienced practitioners who want a recognised credential, with trainer support throughout.

    How long is the training?

The combined Foundation and Practitioner programme is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training. The number of days depends on the schedule format, such as full-day intensive or extended part-day sessions.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive courseware aligned to the exam syllabi, industry-driven case studies, Foundation and Practitioner practice questions, and mock exams. These help you build method knowledge and practise open-book exam technique.

Is the courseware aligned to the current standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi, the Change Management Practitioner Guide, and the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute.
