    What is the format of the DevOps Foundation exam?

    The exam is closed book with 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions. It is delivered online through PeopleCert OnVUE proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    There are 40 questions and you have 60 minutes, or one hour, to complete them.

    What is the passing score for the exam?

    You need 65%, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly.

    What topics does the exam cover?

    Six areas from the DevOps Foundation Exam Blueprint: DevOps Foundations, DevOps Concepts and Practices, Agile/ITSM/Lean IT, the Continuous Delivery Pipeline, Automation and Tooling, and DevOps Culture and Organisation.

    What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

    You can resit the exam. Our training includes practice questions, mock exams and first-attempt guidance to help you pass with confidence. Ask a learning advisor about the current resit policy.

    What will I learn in the DevOps Foundation course?

    You will learn DevOps history and the Three Ways, core practices such as CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code, the continuous delivery pipeline, automation and tooling, Agile/ITSM/Lean IT integration, and DevOps culture, all mapped to the exam blueprint.

    Do I need prior DevOps experience?

    No. The course starts from foundations and needs no prior DevOps knowledge, so beginners and experienced IT professionals can both benefit.

    How long is the training?

    The programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered as two full days or four half-days, depending on the schedule you choose.

    What learning materials are provided?

    You receive DevOps Institute-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions and mock exams to reinforce each topic area.

    Is the course aligned to the current DevOps Foundation syllabus?
