Market Forces Driving IT Governance Assessment Demand in Panama

    Risk-Based Digital Supervision

The Superintendencia de Bancos is moving to continuous, risk-based supervision, so Panamanian banks need defensible, model-based process capability assessments, the exact skill the Assessor credential validates.

COBIT 5 Assessor builds evidence-based rating skills

    Rising Financial-Sector Cyberattacks

Cyberattacks on Panama's financial institutions are increasing, raising demand for professionals who can assess whether IT governance and security processes are genuinely capable.

COBIT 5 Assessor supports governance assurance

    A Tightening Regulatory Framework

Rule 1 of 2026 strengthens banking controls, and assessors who can rate governance capability against a recognised model help firms show regulators they are in control.

    COBIT 5 Assessor aligns to ISO/IEC 15504

    Banking Digital Transformation

Xpress instant payments and new platforms expand IT estates fast, and larger process landscapes need structured capability assessment to keep governance from lagging behind.

COBIT 5 Assessor covers the full process set

    Shortage of Certified Assessors

Panama has deep compliance talent but few ISO/IEC 15504-aligned COBIT assessors. The advanced level and open-book exam make credential holders rare and sought-after.

COBIT 5 Assessor makes holders stand out

    Cross-Border Assurance Pressure

As a regional hub, Panama hosts multinationals and Big Four firms that need internationally comparable assessments, which the PAM's ISO/IEC 15504 alignment provides.
