Is there an exam for Azure DevOps training?

No. This is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Azure DevOps exercises across the one-day programme rather than a formal test.

What will I receive after completing the course?

You receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning. There is no external credential; the value is the practical Azure DevOps skills you can apply immediately at work.

How is my learning assessed?

Through practical, hands-on exercises in the Azure portal and CLI, such as building a pipeline, writing a Bicep template and configuring monitoring, so you apply each concept as you learn it.

Do I need an Azure account before attending?

Yes. You should have access to an Azure subscription and an Azure DevOps organisation (free tier at dev.azure.com). Confirm with Invensis Learning whether a shared training environment is provided.

How long is the Azure DevOps training?

The programme runs for one day (8 hours), covering DevOps principles, source control and CI/CD, continuous delivery, agile planning and IaC, containers and monitoring, and DevSecOps, with hands-on Azure exercises throughout.

What topics does the Azure DevOps course cover?

The course spans the DevOps lifecycle on Azure: Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines CI/CD, Azure Boards, Azure Artifacts and Test Plans, infrastructure as code with ARM and Bicep, containers on ACR and AKS, monitoring with Azure Monitor and Application Insights, and DevSecOps.

Will I learn CI/CD pipelines hands-on?

Yes. You build YAML pipelines in Azure Pipelines that compile, test and publish artefacts, then extend them into multi-stage releases that deploy to Azure App Service, Azure Functions and Azure Kubernetes Service.

Does the course cover infrastructure as code?

Yes. You learn to provision Azure resources with ARM templates and Bicep, deploy them from pipelines, and use deployment modes and what-if previews to manage infrastructure safely.

Is security (DevSecOps) included?

Yes. You learn to shift security left using Microsoft Defender for DevOps for secret, dependency and IaC scanning, and to secure pipeline secrets with Azure Key Vault-linked variable groups.

Is the training hands-on or theory-based?

It is hands-on throughout. You follow along in the Azure portal and CLI as the trainer demonstrates each service, building pipelines, IaC templates, container deployments and dashboards yourself.
