What Is the COBIT 5 Assessor Certification?UntitledThe Highest Level of the COBIT 5 Scheme

COBIT 5 Assessor (COBIT 5-A) certification training in Namibia equips IT governance and audit professionals to plan, conduct, rate and report formal COBIT 5 process capability assessments using the COBIT 5 Process Assessment Model (PAM). It is the highest level of the COBIT 5 qualification scheme and the specialist credential for evidence-based governance assessment. The programme is aligned to the COBIT 5 Assessor Exam Syllabus (2024 version) and to the PAM, which follows the ISO/IEC 15504 (SPICE) process assessment standard. You learn to work across the two assessment dimensions, apply the six capability levels and nine process attributes, use the four-point rating scale, and produce PAM-compliant assessment reports. Examinations are delivered through PeopleCert as an open-book paper, with the COBIT 5 Assessor Guide and COBIT Process Assessment Model permitted. Across Namibia, banks, mining houses, parastatals and telecoms are strengthening IT governance and assurance under a modernising regulatory agenda, so specialist assessors are increasingly valued. Whether you audit IT, lead a governance function, or consult on capability improvement, this training gives you a supported path from study to certified.

Why Namibia Needs Certified COBIT 5 Assessors

    Tightening Data and Cyber Regulation

Namibia's Data Protection Bill and Cybercrime Bill are raising the bar for IT governance evidence, and organisations need assessors who can rate control capability objectively against a recognised model.

COBIT 5 Assessor builds evidence-based assurance skills

    Banking and Fintech Governance Pressure

New payment systems and the Bank of Namibia's stronger governance, risk and compliance focus demand assured, ISO/IEC 15504-aligned assessments of the processes behind digital financial services.

COBIT 5 Assessor builds capability rating skills

    Mining IT and OT Convergence

As mining operators deploy LTE towers and connected systems across open-pit sites, governance of converged IT and operational technology needs formal capability assessment to manage risk.

COBIT 5 Assessor builds risk and evidence skills

    Public Sector Accountability

Parastatals and government departments face growing scrutiny over IT spend and controls, creating demand for internal assessors who can produce defensible capability profiles for oversight bodies.

COBIT 5 Assessor builds structured assessment skills

    Scarcity of Qualified Assessors

Namibia has a deep pool of project and IT practitioners but few credentialed COBIT 5 assessors. The advanced, evidence-based skill set makes qualified holders rare and highly valued.

COBIT 5 Assessor makes certified assessors stand out

    Expanding Digital Estate to Govern

5G, LEO satellite connectivity and faster broadband are widening the IT estate that must be governed, pushing organisations to measure and improve process capability across more systems.
