Industry Forces Driving Demand for Certified Assessors

New Cybersecurity Law Raises the Bar

Mozambique's 2026 Cybersecurity Law, INTIC's national authority mandate and the National CSIRT push public and private entities to prove governance maturity, exactly the evidence a formal COBIT 5 assessment produces.

    Assessor skills prove governance maturity

    Digital Government Needs Assurance

The national digital transformation strategy and the new Ministry of Communications and Digital Transformation expand public e-services, creating demand for structured, ISO/IEC 15504-aligned assessment of governance processes.

    PAM assessment supports e-governance

    Banking Modernisation and Compliance

As banks adopt SIMO contactless standards and tighten IT risk controls, they need assessors who can rate process capability against a target state and report gaps with traceable evidence.

Certified assessors rate and report gaps

    Data Governance and Protection Rollout

Mozambique's draft data governance policy and data protection agenda require organisations to demonstrate control effectiveness, a core use of COBIT 5 process capability assessment.

    Assessment evidences control effectiveness

    Critical Infrastructure in Energy

LNG, coal and graphite operators run complex IT and OT estates where governance assurance is increasingly a contractual and regulatory expectation, calling for specialist assessment capability.

    Assessor skills manage governance risk

    Scarce Certified Assessment Talent

Mozambique has a growing base of IT auditors but few professionals qualified to lead formal COBIT 5 capability assessments, making certified assessors rare and sought-after.
