Assessment

Is there an exam for Azure DevOps training?

No. This is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Azure DevOps exercises throughout the one-day programme, so you apply each service as you learn it.

Will I get a certificate on completion?

Yes. You receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning after completing the training. No formal credential is awarded by an external body, as the course focuses on building practical, workplace-ready Azure DevOps skills.

How is learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you work through hands-on pipeline configuration and infrastructure-as-code exercises throughout the day, applying Azure DevOps tools to realistic scenarios as the trainer guides you.

Do I need an Azure account before the training?

Yes. You should have access to an Azure subscription and an Azure DevOps organisation before the training. Azure DevOps offers a free tier for up to five users at dev.azure.com. Confirm with us whether a shared environment is provided.

How hands-on is the training?

Very hands-on. You follow along in the Azure DevOps portal and Azure CLI as the trainer demonstrates each service, building repositories, pipelines, IaC templates and monitoring dashboards yourself so the skills stick.

What topics does the Azure DevOps course cover?

The course spans the full DevOps lifecycle on Azure: DevOps principles, source control with Azure Repos, CI/CD with Azure Pipelines, Agile planning with Azure Boards, infrastructure as code, containerisation, monitoring, and DevSecOps, all in one focused day.

Which Azure DevOps services are taught?

You work with the core Azure DevOps services: Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Azure Boards, Azure Artifacts and Azure Test Plans, plus ARM templates and Bicep, Azure Container Registry, AKS, Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

Does the course cover CI/CD pipelines and YAML?

Yes. A core part of the training is designing YAML pipelines in Azure Pipelines, including triggers, stages, jobs, tasks and variables, plus multi-stage delivery with approval gates and deployment strategies such as rolling and canary.

Is infrastructure as code with Bicep included?

Yes. You learn infrastructure as code using both ARM templates and Bicep, including how to structure templates, deploy them from Azure Pipelines, and preview changes before deployment so environments stay consistent.

How long is the Azure DevOps training?

The course is delivered in one day of eight hours, covering all six modules with concept explanations, Azure architecture context and hands-on exercises throughout. A half-day format across two days is also available.
