Course Content

What topics does the AWS DevOps course cover?

The course covers six areas: DevOps foundations on AWS, source control and CI with CodeCommit and CodeBuild, continuous delivery with CodeDeploy and CodePipeline, infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and CDK, containers on ECS and EKS, and monitoring with DevSecOps.

Which AWS tools will I learn to use?

You will work with AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy and CodePipeline, CloudFormation and the AWS CDK, Amazon ECR, ECS and EKS, Amazon CloudWatch and X-Ray, and IAM and Secrets Manager for security.

Are there hands-on exercises in the course?

Yes. Hands-on AWS exercises run throughout the day. You follow along using the AWS Console and CLI to configure pipelines, write templates, deploy containers and set up monitoring as each topic is covered.

Does the course cover containers and Kubernetes?

Yes. You learn to build Docker images, store them in Amazon ECR, and run containerised applications on Amazon ECS and on Amazon EKS, the managed Kubernetes service, as part of your delivery pipeline.

Does the training include security and DevSecOps?

Yes. You learn to shift security left with IAM least-privilege roles, AWS Secrets Manager, and security scanning in the pipeline, so protection is built into every stage of delivery rather than added at the end.
