    What is the format of the COBIT 5 Assessor exam?

    The COBIT 5 Assessor exam is an open-book, objective-testing paper delivered by PeopleCert, either online proctored or at an authorized test centre. It is based on the COBIT 5 Assessor Exam Syllabus, 2024 version, and requires application and analysis of realistic assessment scenarios.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 8 questions, each worth 10 marks, for 80 marks in total. You have two and a half hours (150 minutes) to complete it. All 8 questions are scored.

    What is the passing score for the Assessor exam?

    The pass mark is 50 percent, so you must achieve 40 marks or more out of the 80 available. Because the paper is scenario-based, focus on applying the PAM, capability levels and rating scale accurately rather than on recall alone.

    Which books are permitted in the open-book exam?

    Only the COBIT 5 Assessor Guide: Using COBIT 5 and the COBIT Process Assessment Model are permitted. No other materials are allowed, so efficient navigation of both references is essential, which the training practises directly.

    What is the COBIT 5 Process Assessment Model (PAM)?

    The PAM is the ISO/IEC 15504-aligned model used to assess COBIT 5 process capability. It has two dimensions: the process dimension (the 37 COBIT 5 processes) and the capability dimension (six levels from 0 Incomplete to 5 Optimising), assessed through nine process attributes.

    What are the six COBIT 5 capability levels?

    They are Level 0 Incomplete, Level 1 Performed, Level 2 Managed, Level 3 Established, Level 4 Predictable and Level 5 Optimising. Each is assessed through process attributes rated on a four-point scale of Not, Partially, Largely and Fully Achieved.

    Do I need prior COBIT knowledge to attend?
