IT Governance Pressures Fuelling COBIT 5 Demand in Moldova

COBIT 5 Implementation builds structured governance skills

    Banking Digital Transformation

Moldova's export-focused software firms serve demanding EU and US clients who expect mature IT governance. Providers that can evidence and improve governance capability win and keep larger contracts.

COBIT 5 Implementation builds capability-assessment skills

    Public Sector E-Governance Scale

Government digital services continue to expand across Moldova, demanding transparent IT governance, benefits tracking and audit readiness that the seven-phase implementation approach is designed to embed.

COBIT 5 Implementation builds governance roadmap skills

    Cyber and IT Risk Pressure

Rising cyber and operational risk makes board-level IT governance a priority. Employers need professionals who can turn risk findings into sustained improvement rather than one-off fixes.

COBIT 5 Implementation builds continuous-improvement skills

    Governance Talent Scarcity

Moldova has a deep developer pool but few professionals credentialed to lead governance improvement. Implementation-level holders are rare, and that scarcity makes them sought-after and well paid.

    What Our Learners Say

    Untitled

    The Lifecycle Finally Made Sense

"The training made the seven-phase lifecycle click for me. I could finally see how to move from a governance assessment to a real roadmap, and the open-book practice meant I walked into the exam knowing exactly where to find each answer."

Change Enablement I Can Actually Use

"As a compliance lead in banking, the change enablement content was the most useful part. The trainer used realistic scenarios, and I now handle resistance to governance change far more confidently at work."

    One Shared Governance Language

    Governance That Sticks

"We put several IT leads through the corporate programme ahead of an EU-driven compliance push. The continuous-improvement focus helped us embed governance rather than treat it as a one-off project. Coordination from the team was excellent."

Yes. As Moldova aligns with EU regulatory expectations, banks, IT services firms and public bodies increasingly need people who can lead governance improvement. The credential positions you for governance, risk and IT director roles that command salaries well above the national average.

COBIT 5 Foundation certification is required. Candidates who do not hold Foundation must take and pass it before sitting the Implementation exam, as Foundation knowledge of the five principles and seven enablers is assumed throughout.

Yes. COBIT is the globally recognised standard for IT governance, and the Implementation credential is delivered via PeopleCert, which operates in over 200 countries. It is valued by employers worldwide for governance leadership, consulting and GRC roles.

Foundation is a closed-book exam that validates knowledge of the COBIT 5 framework at awareness level. Implementation is an open-book, application-level exam that tests your ability to apply the lifecycle, change enablement and programme management to realistic scenarios. Foundation is the prerequisite for Implementation.

It suits IT governance managers, consultants, risk and compliance leads, and IT directors who want to lead improvement, not just describe the framework.

Is COBIT 5 Implementation worth it for professionals in Moldova?

Yes. As Moldova aligns with EU regulatory expectations, banks, IT services firms and public bodies increasingly need people who can lead governance improvement. The credential positions you for governance, risk and IT director roles that command salaries well above the national average.

What are the prerequisites for COBIT 5 Implementation?

COBIT 5 Foundation certification is required. Candidates who do not hold Foundation must take and pass it before sitting the Implementation exam, as Foundation knowledge of the five principles and seven enablers is assumed throughout.

How does COBIT 5 Implementation differ from Foundation?

Foundation is a closed-book exam that validates knowledge of the COBIT 5 framework at awareness level. Implementation is an open-book, application-level exam that tests your ability to apply the lifecycle, change enablement and programme management to realistic scenarios. Foundation is the prerequisite for Implementation.

    Pricing

What is included in the COBIT 5 Implementation course fee?

The training fee typically includes syllabus-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions and mock exams, open-book exam technique guidance, learner support, and a course completion certificate. Ask a learning advisor for the exact inclusions in your chosen format.

How much does COBIT 5 Implementation training cost in Moldova?

    Exam

What is the format of the COBIT 5 Implementation exam?

It is an open-book, objective-testing exam based on the COBIT 5 Implementation Exam Syllabus (2022 version). Only the COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide are permitted, and questions require scenario-based analysis across four topic areas.

How many questions are in the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 4 questions, each worth 20 marks, for 80 marks in total. You have 2 and a half hours (150 minutes) to complete it. Each question maps to one of the four topic areas.

What is the passing score for the exam?

The pass mark is 50%, so you need 40 marks or more out of the 80 available. Focus on applying the lifecycle, change enablement and programme management rather than memorising, since it is scenario based.

Which books are permitted in the open-book exam?

Only the COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide are permitted. No other materials are allowed, so efficient navigation of both books is a skill the training helps you build.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

You can re-sit the exam through PeopleCert. Re-sit policies and fees are set by PeopleCert, so verify the current terms when booking. Our trainers provide guidance and scenario practice aimed at helping you pass on the first attempt.

    Course Content

What topics does the training cover?

The 16-hour programme covers all four exam topic areas: the need for a governance framework and the implementation lifecycle, change enablement, programme management, and continuous improvement, all aligned to the 2022 syllabus.

What are the seven phases of the implementation lifecycle?

They are: what are the drivers; where are we now; where do we want to be; what needs to be done; how do we get there; did we get there; and how do we keep the momentum going. The lifecycle is a continuous improvement cycle, not a one-off project.

What is the COBIT 5 change enablement cycle?

It is a five-component cycle that runs alongside the implementation lifecycle: awareness and communication, desire and willingness, knowledge, ability, and reinforcement. It recognises that governance improvement is as much a people challenge as a technical one.

Do I need prior experience or COBIT 5 Foundation?

You must hold COBIT 5 Foundation before sitting the Implementation exam, and Foundation knowledge is assumed in class. Practical governance or IT experience helps, but there is no formal work-experience requirement.

Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the COBIT 5 Implementation Exam Syllabus (2022 version) and references the COBIT 5 Implementation book and COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide used in the open-book exam.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the COBIT 5 Implementation course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live virtual (online) instructor-led training and customised corporate group training delivered onsite or online, so professionals and teams across Moldova can choose the format that fits their schedule.

    How long is the training?

The programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered as two full days or four half days. It covers all four topic areas at application level and prepares you for the open-book exam.

Can I reschedule to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch on selected plans. Contact support to arrange this before your scheduled sessions.

What is the next step after COBIT 5 Implementation?

The next level is COBIT 5 Assessor, the advanced specialist credential covering formal process capability assessment with the COBIT 5 Process Assessment Model. Implementation is recommended before Assessor; verify current prerequisites with PeopleCert. See upcoming schedules to plan your path.
