What is the format of the COBIT 5 Implementation exam?

It is an open-book, objective-testing exam based on the COBIT 5 Implementation Exam Syllabus (2022 version). Only the COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide are permitted, and it is delivered online proctored or at a PeopleCert test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 4 questions, each worth 20 marks, for 80 marks in total, and you have 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete it.

What is the passing score for COBIT 5 Implementation?

You need 50%, that is 40 marks or more out of 80, to pass.

What books are allowed in the open-book exam?

Only the COBIT 5 Implementation book and the COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide. No other materials are permitted, and questions still require scenario-based judgment, so know the method well.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can resit the exam. We provide first-attempt guidance, mock exams and open-book technique practice to help you pass; confirm the current resit policy with PeopleCert.

Phase 1 drivers, Phase 2 current state, Phase 3 target state, Phase 4 roadmap, Phase 5 implementation, Phase 6 outcome evaluation, and Phase 7 sustaining momentum. It runs as a continuous improvement cycle, not a one-off project.

Do I need COBIT 5 Foundation knowledge for the course?

Yes. Foundation knowledge is assumed and not retaught. The course builds on the five principles, seven enablers and process reference model you covered at COBIT 5 Foundation.
