How long is the DevOps Foundation certification valid?

The certification is valid for three years. To renew, you earn the required Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through DevOps Institute membership and continuing education activities within the three-year cycle.

What is the format of the DevOps Foundation exam?

The DevOps Foundation exam is closed book with single-answer multiple-choice questions, based on the DevOps Foundation Exam Blueprint. It is delivered online through PeopleCert OnVUE proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and a duration of 60 minutes. It covers the six topic areas of the DevOps Foundation Body of Knowledge.

What is the passing score for the DevOps Foundation exam?

The pass mark is 65 percent, meaning you must answer at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. Focus on broad understanding across all six topic areas rather than any single theme.
