    What is the format of the ASM exam?

    The EXIN Agile Scrum Master exam is closed book with 40 multiple-choice questions. You have 90 minutes, and it is delivered online with proctoring or at an accredited test centre.

    How many questions are on the exam and what is the pass mark?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions and you need 65% to pass, which is 26 correct answers out of 40.

    What topics does the ASM exam cover?

    The exam covers five topic areas: Agile Way of Thinking (20%), Scrum Master Role (25%), Agile Estimating, Planning, Monitoring and Control (27.5%), Complex Projects (12.5%) and Adopting Agile (15%).

    How do I book the ASM exam?

    You can sit the exam through EXIN online proctoring from home or office, or at an accredited test centre. Your training provider helps you register and schedule, and our team guides you through the booking process.

    What if I do not pass the first time?

    You can re-sit the EXIN exam. Re-examination policies and fees vary by provider and channel, so confirm the details when you enrol. Our preparation, practice questions and mock exams are designed to help you pass with confidence.

    Course Content

    What will I learn in the ASM training?

    You learn to facilitate Scrum events, coach teams as a servant leader, remove impediments, estimate and plan agile work, handle complex and scaled delivery, and support agile adoption, mapped to the five EXIN topic areas.

    Do I need prior experience to take this course?

    No formal experience is required, though EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation knowledge is recommended. The training suits beginners stepping into the Scrum Master role as well as practitioners formalising existing skills.

    How long is the training?

    The Agile Scrum Master programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered over two full days or four half-days. The format is practical and exam-focused.

    Are practice tests and materials included?

    Yes. The programme includes accredited courseware, practice questions, mock exams and exercises that mirror the EXIN exam, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness.

    Is the courseware aligned to the current EXIN syllabus?
