What Is Kanban Training in Jordan?UntitledA Practical Guide to Pull-Based Flow

Kanban training in Jordan is a one-day, practical course that teaches you to manage work as a visual, pull-based system, where nothing is produced or started until real demand signals for it. Kanban, Japanese for 'signboard', began on the Toyota Production System shop floor and was later adapted for knowledge work by David J. Anderson, so the course serves both manufacturing and agile teams. You learn to make work visible on a Kanban board, limit work in progress, and pull value through each stage to cut lead times and eliminate overproduction. Hands-on exercises cover pull loops, supermarkets and kanban sizing on the factory side, and boards, WIP limits and flow metrics on the knowledge-work side. Whether you lead a production line in Amman, run an IT service desk, or coach an agile squad, this training gives you methods you can apply the next working day. It is a skills-focused programme, not a certification course, so you leave with practical capability and a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning.

Why Jordan's Teams Are Turning to Kanban

    Lean Pressure on Pharma Manufacturing

Jordan's pharmaceutical exporters are scaling fast on double-digit export growth. Kanban pull loops and supermarkets cap inventory and cut overproduction as volumes and export demand keep rising.

    Kanban builds manufacturing pull-system skills

    Agile Teams Overloading on Work

As Amman's software and fintech sector grows near 16% a year, delivery teams take on more work than they can finish. WIP limits and Kanban boards restore focus, flow and speed.

Kanban builds WIP-limit and flow skills

    Inventory and Supply Chain Cost

Manufacturers and logistics providers face capital-efficiency pressure. Pull-based replenishment and two-bin kanban reduce excess stock while keeping lines and shelves reliably supplied.

    Kanban builds pull-replenishment skills

    Service Desk and Ticket Backlogs

IT service and support teams juggle rising request queues. Kanban boards with WIP limits and classes of service cut lead times and make backlog and blockers visible to everyone.

    Kanban builds service-flow skills

    Flow Visibility Gap

Many organisations cannot see where work stalls. Flow metrics and the cumulative flow diagram expose bottlenecks so managers improve from evidence, not opinion or gut feel.

    Kanban builds flow-metrics skills

    Bridging Manufacturing and Agile Practice

Employers want people who can apply Kanban on the shop floor and in knowledge work. This dual capability is scarce in Jordan's talent pool and increasingly sought after.

    Your Jordan Workflow Transformation

Your Team Before and After Kanban

A Visible, Faster Way to Work

Jordan's manufacturers and technology teams are under real pressure to deliver faster and waste less, and employers increasingly separate teams that see and control their flow from those that do not. Here is which side of that line you want to be on.

    Today

Delivery is busy but slow, with no clear sense of flow

    With Kanban

Shorter lead times by limiting work in progress, not adding hours

    Today

Overproduction and stockpiles tie up cash on the line

    With Kanban

Kanban and JIT pull that cap inventory and free up cash

    Today

Skills sit in either manufacturing or agile, rarely both

    With Kanban

One flow method you apply to production lines and agile squads

    You build Kanban capability

    Before

Work is invisible and progress is hard to see across the team

    Now you have

A visual board where every task and bottleneck is obvious to the team

    Before

Teams start more than they finish, and lead times drift

    Now you have

WIP limits that keep work flowing and actually finishing

    Before

Production runs to forecast, building excess inventory

    Now you have

Pull loops that produce only what downstream demand needs

    Before

Improvement is based on opinion and gut feel

    Now you have

Flow metrics and a cumulative flow diagram that show what to fix

"The gap between busy teams and fast teams is a visible, pull-based way of working, and the organisations that matter already know it."

Skills You Will Build in This Kanban CourseFrom Shop Floor to Agile Board

This Kanban course builds practical capability across both manufacturing pull systems and agile knowledge work. By the end of the day you can design kanban loops, run boards with WIP limits, and read flow metrics to improve delivery in your own workplace.

Pull Thinking and the Kanban Signal

Learn the pull principle at the heart of Kanban: work is only produced or started when downstream demand signals for it. Understand push versus pull, why overproduction is the worst waste, and how Kanban makes just-in-time working practical on the line and in the office.

    Designing Manufacturing Kanban Systems

Design pull systems using production and withdrawal kanban, one-bin and two-bin setups, supermarkets and e-Kanban. See how the two-kanban loop self-regulates production and keeps inventory capped by design in a real manufacturing environment.

    Sizing Kanban and Setting Loops

Calculate kanban quantities and the number of kanban cards using demand, lead time and safety factor, and relate them to takt time. Apply the six Kanban rules and avoid the common mistakes that quietly reintroduce push production.

    Building Agile Kanban Boards

Design a Kanban board with columns, swimlanes, a definition of done and classes of service for software, IT and service work. Set and manage WIP limits so teams stop starting and start finishing, and pull work only when they have capacity.

Measuring Flow with Metrics and the CFD

Measure lead time, cycle time and throughput, apply Little's Law, and use lead-time percentiles and throughput to forecast delivery. Read a cumulative flow diagram to spot where work in progress is growing and where the bottleneck sits.

    Implementing and Sustaining Kanban

Start with what you do now, then improve from evidence. Plan a rollout for manufacturing or knowledge work, combine Kanban with Scrum as Scrumban, and keep the system healthy by preventing WIP-limit creep over time.

    General

What is Kanban and who is this training for?

Kanban is a visual, pull-based way to manage work, where nothing is produced or started until real demand signals for it. This one-day course suits production and operations managers, engineers, supply chain professionals, agile coaches, IT managers and anyone improving workflow in Jordan.

Is Kanban training worth it for professionals in Jordan?

Yes. Kanban skills are in demand across Jordan's pharmaceutical manufacturing, IT services, telecom and logistics sectors, where employers value people who can cut lead times, limit work in progress and improve flow. The methods apply from your first day back at work.

Does the course cover both manufacturing and agile Kanban?

Yes. It covers manufacturing Kanban from the Toyota Production System, including production and withdrawal kanban, supermarkets and JIT pull, and agile Kanban for software, IT and services, including boards, WIP limits and flow metrics.

Do I need prior experience to take Kanban training?

No. There are no prerequisites. Some familiarity with lean or production helps for the manufacturing modules, but the course introduces every Kanban concept from first principles, so beginners and experienced practitioners both benefit.

What is the origin of Kanban?

Kanban began on the Toyota Production System shop floor, developed by Taiichi Ohno in the 1950s as a pull scheduling signal. It was later adapted for knowledge work by David J. Anderson, making it useful for both manufacturing and agile teams today.

    Pricing

How much does Kanban training cost in Jordan?

Fees vary by delivery format, group size and schedule, so pricing is available on request. Contact a learning advisor for a quote tailored to individual or corporate training in Jordan.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically covers instructor-led sessions, structured courseware, hands-on Kanban exercises, learner support and a course completion certificate. Ask your advisor for the exact inclusions of your chosen format.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for production, IT and agile teams. Request a quote for your team and we will tailor it to your needs.

    Are there payment options available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

Is there any extra fee beyond the training?

No. Because this is a skills course with no external exam or credential body, there is no separate exam or membership fee. You pay only for the training you enrol in.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for Kanban training?

No. This is a non-certification skills course, so there is no exam. Learning is reinforced through hands-on kanban design exercises, worked examples and group discussion throughout the day.

What do I receive after completing the course?

You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. It records that you completed the one-day Kanban programme and the practical skills you built, which you can apply immediately at work.

How is learning assessed during the training?

There is no formal assessment. Instead you apply concepts through practical exercises such as kanban quantity calculation, loop design, board design and WIP-limit setting, so you leave able to use the methods.

Does this training give a formal qualification?

No formal qualification is awarded, as Kanban training has no governing body. You gain practical capability and a completion certificate from Invensis Learning rather than an external credential.

How long is the Kanban training?

The programme runs for one day, about 8 hours, and can be delivered as a full day or across two half-days. It covers all six Kanban modules with hands-on exercises throughout.

    Course Content
