Your IT Governance Career Outlook in JordanRoles, Demand and Earning Power

COBIT 5 Implementation has become a senior marker of IT governance capability across Jordan, valued by banks, telecoms, fintechs and government bodies that are modernising IT under REACH 2025 and tighter Central Bank rules. As Amman consolidates as a regional technology hub, employers increasingly want professionals who can lead a governance improvement programme, not just describe the framework. Demand runs from GRC analyst up to IT governance manager and IT director, and here is what the Jordanian market is telling us now.

Why IT Governance Skills Are in Demand Across Jordan

    Regulatory Pressure on Banks

Central Bank of Jordan rules and the country's data protection law demand mature IT governance, and banks need professionals who can raise governance capability to a defensible standard.

COBIT 5 Implementation builds audit-ready governance

    Fintech Scaling Faster Than Governance

Around 200 fintechs are scaling payments and digital banking in Jordan, but many outgrow their governance controls, the exact gap the COBIT 5 implementation approach is built to close.

COBIT 5 Implementation adds a governance layer

    Value Leakage in Digital Programmes

REACH 2025 programmes are funded across sectors, but weak links between strategy and the IT work delivered cause value leakage that governance leaders are now hired to fix.

COBIT 5 Implementation aligns delivery to strategy

    Scarce Certified Governance Talent

Jordan's IT talent pool is deep in engineers but thin in credentialed governance implementers, so professionals who can lead a COBIT 5 improvement programme are rare and sought-after.

COBIT 5 Implementation makes you stand out

Rising Cyber and IT Risk Exposure

With digital transactions surging past 184 million a year, banks and telecoms face growing IT risk that demands structured governance, control and continuous improvement.

COBIT 5 Implementation strengthens risk oversight

    Public Sector Modernisation

Government digitisation under national strategy needs formal governance improvement, and agencies increasingly seek practitioners who can plan and run COBIT 5-based initiatives.

    Before

Recognition limited when you change sector or employer

    Now you have

A globally portable credential valued across sectors and regions

    Course Content

What topics does COBIT 5 Implementation training cover?

The programme covers four topic areas: the need for a governance framework and the seven-phase implementation lifecycle, change enablement, programme management, and continuous improvement, all at application level.

What are the seven phases of the COBIT 5 implementation lifecycle?

They are: what are the drivers; where are we now; where do we want to be; what needs to be done; how do we get there; did we get there; and how do we keep the momentum going. The lifecycle is a continuous cycle, not a one-off project.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

You need COBIT 5 Foundation, which the course assumes. Beyond that, the training suits practitioners who lead or support governance improvement. Foundation concepts are not re-taught, so the focus stays on practical implementation.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive PeopleCert-aligned courseware, scenario-based case studies, practice questions and mock exams. The COBIT 5 Implementation book and COBIT 5 Enabling Processes Guide are the primary references for the open-book exam.
