    What is the format of the COBIT 5 Assessor exam?

    It is an open-book, objective-testing examination. Only the COBIT 5 Assessor Guide: Using COBIT 5 and the COBIT Process Assessment Model are permitted. Questions require analysis and professional judgement in realistic assessment scenarios.

    How many questions are in the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 8 questions, each worth 10 marks, for 80 marks in total. You have 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete it.

    What is the passing score for the COBIT 5 Assessor exam?

    The pass mark is 50%. You must score 40 marks or more out of the 80 available to pass.

    How is the exam delivered in Iceland?

    You can sit the exam online through PeopleCert OnVUE proctoring, available 24/7, or at a PeopleCert authorised test centre. You schedule it directly through the PeopleCert portal.

    Which syllabus is the exam based on?

    What topics does the COBIT 5 Assessor training cover?

    The training covers five topic areas: Overview of COBIT 5 Process Assessment, the COBIT 5 PAM, Capability Levels and Attributes, Assessment Planning and Execution, and Evidence, Rating and Reporting.

    What are the six COBIT 5 capability levels?

    They run from Level 0 Incomplete, through Level 1 Performed, Level 2 Managed, Level 3 Established and Level 4 Predictable, to Level 5 Optimising. Each is assessed through process attributes and the four-point rating scale.

    Do I need prior experience or knowledge?

    The course assumes COBIT 5 Foundation knowledge and, ideally, Implementation. Practical IT audit or governance assessment experience is strongly recommended, as the exam tests analysis and professional judgement.

    How long is the training and how is it delivered?

    The programme runs for 16 hours, delivered as two full days or four half-days. You can take it as live virtual instructor-led training, in a classroom, or as customised corporate group training.
