What is the format of the PMI-ACP exam?

The PMI-ACP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline (January 2018). Questions are distributed across seven agile domains and delivered via Pearson VUE, online proctored or at a test centre.

How many questions are on the PMI-ACP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 120 questions and an allotted time of three hours. It uses single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice questions spanning the seven agile domains of the Examination Content Outline.

What is the passing score for the PMI-ACP?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Your result is set through psychometric analysis and reported as pass or fail, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement. Aim for broad mastery across all seven domains.

How many attempts do I get, and can I retake it?

You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts; confirm the current amounts on PMI's website.
