    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 60 questions with a two-hour allotted time. Some forms include up to 6 additional unscored pretest questions that do not affect your result.

    What is the passing score for the Yellow Belt exam?

    You need a minimum of 230 points out of 300 to pass. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the five DMAIC phases, so aim for broad understanding rather than narrow focus.

    Is there an application process for the exam?

    No prerequisites apply. You purchase the exam voucher at orders.iassc.org and choose online on-demand proctoring or a Pearson VUE test centre. An optional non-proctored evaluation exam is available to check your readiness first.

    How long is the training?

    The Yellow Belt training runs for 16 hours, usually delivered as two full days or four half-days, depending on the schedule you choose.
