Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential for professionals who identify, assess and control risk on projects and programmes. It suits risk specialists, project managers, PMO analysts and consultants in Jakarta who want to prove advanced risk expertise.

    General

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

The PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) is PMI's specialist credential for professionals who identify, assess and control risk on projects and programmes. It suits risk specialists, project managers, PMO analysts and consultants in Jakarta who want to prove advanced risk expertise.

Is PMI-RMP worth it for risk professionals in Jakarta?

Yes. As Jakarta scales infrastructure, energy and banking programmes, certified risk specialists are in demand and often earn a pay premium (PayScale reports around 14%). The credential sets you apart from general project managers with a globally recognised PMI qualification.

Do I need a PMP before taking PMI-RMP?

No. The PMP is not a prerequisite. You can apply for the PMI-RMP directly based on your risk management experience and education, though many holders also hold the PMP because the two credentials are complementary.

How long is the credential valid and how is it renewed?

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. You maintain it by earning 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

    Is the PMI-RMP recognised internationally?

Yes. As a PMI credential it is recognised by employers worldwide and is especially valued in high-risk sectors such as construction, energy, defence and financial services.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMI-RMP training fee?

The fee covers PMI-aligned courseware, 32 contact hours of risk education, practice questions, mock exams, application support and a completion certificate. The PMI exam fee is billed separately. Request a quote for current Jakarta pricing.

How much does PMI-RMP training cost in Jakarta?

Instructor-led training in Jakarta is available on request and varies by format and schedule. The PMI exam fee is charged separately in USD. Talk to a learning advisor for current pricing and group rates.

How much is the PMI-RMP exam fee?

For reference, PMI charges around USD 520 for members and USD 670 for non-members; fees vary by region, so confirm on pmi.org. PMI membership (about USD 139 per year) lowers the exam fee and gives access to the Practice Standard for Project Risk Management.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We provide corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams in Jakarta. Ask about corporate pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

The exam is closed book with 115 multiple-choice questions in single-answer and multiple-answer formats. It is based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022 and the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions and a time limit of 2.5 hours (150 minutes).

What are the exam domains and their weights?

Five domains under the January 2022 ECO: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What is the passing score for the exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results are reported with domain-level feedback such as Above Target, Target or Below Target, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

What if I do not pass, and where can I sit the exam?

You get up to three attempts within a one-year eligibility window. Sit the exam via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre in Jakarta.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the PMI-RMP course?

You will learn the full project risk lifecycle: risk strategy and planning, identification, qualitative and quantitative analysis, response, and monitoring and closing, aligned to the current Examination Content Outline (January 2022).

Do I need prior experience to take the training?

Anyone can join the training. To sit the exam, PMI requires project risk management experience and risk education; the programme provides the education hours needed for the application.

What risk tools and techniques are covered?

You cover brainstorming, the Delphi method, SWOT, probability and impact analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, decision trees, sensitivity analysis, expected monetary value and reserve analysis.

Does the training meet the education requirement?

Yes. The 32 contact hours fully satisfy the 30-hour risk education requirement for degree-holding (Set B and Set C) candidates. Set A candidates need 40 hours and should add supplementary study.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest standard?

Yes. The courseware maps to the PMI-RMP ECO effective January 2022 and PMI's Practice Standard for Project Risk Management, covering predictive, agile and hybrid delivery.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the PMI-RMP course in Jakarta?

Enrol through the Invensis Learning website, choose your format, and complete payment to receive schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor to pick the right batch.

What are the eligibility requirements for the exam?

PMI requires either 36 months of risk experience with a secondary diploma and 40 hours of risk education, or 24 months with a bachelor's degree and 30 hours; a GAC-accredited degree needs only 12 months, all within the past five years.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule in Jakarta.
