Is there an exam for this course?

No. This is a non-certification skills training course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on AWS exercises throughout the programme rather than a formal test.

Will I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. You receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning after completing the programme. It recognises the practical AWS DevOps skills you have built, though it is a completion certificate rather than a formal certification.

How are my skills evaluated during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply each tool through live exercises, such as building a pipeline, writing a CloudFormation template and deploying a container, so your understanding is demonstrated through practical work.

What will I be able to do after completing the training?

What topics are covered in the AWS DevOps training?

The course covers six modules: DevOps and the AWS ecosystem; source control and CI with CodeCommit and CodeBuild; continuous delivery with CodeDeploy and CodePipeline; infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and the AWS CDK; containers with Amazon ECS and EKS; and monitoring, DevSecOps and continuous improvement.

Which AWS tools will I use during the course?

You work with the AWS DevOps toolchain, including CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, CloudFormation, the AWS CDK, Amazon ECR, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, Amazon CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray and AWS IAM for pipeline security.

Is the training hands-on or theory based?

It is highly hands-on. You follow along using the AWS Console and CLI while the trainer demonstrates each service, then complete practical exercises such as creating a pipeline, deploying a container and setting up CloudWatch alarms.

How long is the AWS DevOps training?

The programme is delivered as a one-day, eight-hour course covering all six modules with hands-on exercises throughout. An extended two half-day format is also available, keeping the same total training hours.

Does the course cover containers and Kubernetes on AWS?

Yes. You learn to build and run containers on Amazon ECS, including Fargate, and to deploy applications on Amazon EKS, AWS's managed Kubernetes service, along with the container CI/CD pipeline from CodeCommit through ECR to ECS or EKS.
