    The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. It spans five performance domains and is delivered via Pearson VUE online proctoring or a test centre.

    How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

    The PgMP exam has 170 questions and a four-hour (240-minute) allotted time. Results are reported with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement rather than a fixed percentage.

    What is the PgMP panel review?

    The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

    What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis, so focus on broad mastery across all five domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance.

    How many attempts do I get, and can I retake the exam?
