    What is the format of the COBIT 5 Assessor exam?

    It is an open-book, objective-test examination. The COBIT 5 Assessor Guide: Using COBIT 5 and the COBIT Process Assessment Model are the only permitted materials, and questions require analysis of realistic assessment scenarios.

    How many questions are in the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 8 questions, each worth 10 marks, for a total of 80 marks. You have two and a half hours, that is 150 minutes, to complete it.

    What is the passing score for COBIT 5 Assessor?

    The pass mark is 50%. You must achieve 40 marks or more out of the 80 available to pass the exam.

    How and where is the exam delivered?

    The exam is delivered by PeopleCert, either online with 24/7 OnVUE proctoring or at an authorised test centre. You can sit it from home or office in Croatia or worldwide.

    Which syllabus is the exam based on?

    The exam is based on the COBIT 5 Assessor Exam Syllabus, 2024 version, covering the PAM, capability levels and attributes, assessment planning and execution, and evidence, rating and reporting.

    The programme covers all five syllabus areas: overview of COBIT 5 process assessment, the COBIT 5 PAM, capability levels and attributes, assessment planning and execution, and evidence, rating and reporting.

    What is the COBIT 5 Process Assessment Model (PAM)?

    The PAM is the ISO/IEC 15504-aligned model used to assess COBIT 5 processes. It has two dimensions: the process dimension, the 37 COBIT 5 processes, and the capability dimension, six levels from 0 Incomplete to 5 Optimising.

    How long is the training?

    The COBIT 5 Assessor programme runs for 16 hours, typically delivered as two full days or four half-days, covering all five topic areas at application and analysis level.

    Do I need prior COBIT knowledge?

    Yes. COBIT 5 Foundation is required and Implementation is recommended, as Assessor training assumes both. Foundation and Implementation content is not retaught at this level.
