What Is the COBIT 5 Assessor Credential?UntitledYour Route to Specialist IT Governance Assessment

The COBIT 5 Assessor (COBIT 5-A) is the highest-level certification in the COBIT 5 qualification scheme, and COBIT 5 Assessor certification training in Guatemala prepares you to plan, conduct, rate and report formal process capability assessments using the COBIT 5 Process Assessment Model (PAM). It is the specialist credential for professionals who move beyond framework knowledge to evidence-based governance measurement. The programme is aligned to the COBIT 5 Assessor Exam Syllabus (2024 version) and delivered towards the PeopleCert exam. You work at application and analysis level across the PAM, its two dimensions, the six capability levels from 0 Incomplete to 5 Optimising, the nine process attributes and the four-point rating scale. Because the PAM follows ISO/IEC 15504 (SPICE), your assessments carry international credibility and comparability. COBIT 5 Foundation is the mandatory prerequisite, with Implementation recommended. For IT auditors, GRC specialists and governance leaders across Guatemala's banks, BPO providers and telecoms, the Assessor credential proves you can benchmark IT governance objectively. Start your COBIT 5 Assessor journey with Invensis Learning and turn framework fluency into formal assessment capability.

It is an open-book, objective exam based on the COBIT 5 Assessor Exam Syllabus (2024 version). Only the COBIT 5 Assessor Guide: Using COBIT 5 and the COBIT Process Assessment Model are permitted. Questions require professional judgement in realistic assessment scenarios.

How many questions are in the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 8 questions, each worth 10 marks, for 80 marks in total, and you have 2.5 hours (150 minutes). All 8 questions are scored, covering the five Assessor topic areas.

What is the passing score for COBIT 5 Assessor?

The pass mark is 50%, so you need 40 marks or more out of the 80 available. Because it is open book, efficient navigation of the Assessor Guide and the PAM matters as much as knowledge.

How and where is the exam delivered?

The exam is delivered through PeopleCert, either online proctored via the OnVUE system, available 24/7, or at PeopleCert authorised test centres. You can sit it from Guatemala using online proctoring.

Which syllabus and standard is the exam based on?

    Course Content

What topics does the COBIT 5 Assessor training cover?

The 16-hour programme covers all five Assessor topic areas: Overview of COBIT 5 Process Assessment, the COBIT 5 PAM, Capability Levels and Attributes, Assessment Planning and Execution, and Evidence, Rating and Reporting.

The six capability levels run from Level 0 Incomplete through Performed, Managed, Established, Predictable to Level 5 Optimising. The nine process attributes span PA 1.1 Process Performance to PA 5.2 Process Optimisation, each rated on a four-point scale.

Do I need prior experience or COBIT knowledge?
