    Is the exam fee included in the training price?

    No. The IASSC exam voucher is purchased separately and billed in USD, with a base price around USD 395 that varies by region. The training fee covers your preparation, while the voucher covers sitting the exam itself.

    Exam

    What is the format of the IASSC Green Belt exam?

    It is a closed-book exam made up of multiple-choice and true or false questions covering the five DMAIC phases. You can sit it online with on-demand proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 100 questions and a total allotted time of three hours. Some exam forms include up to 10 additional unscored pretest questions that do not count towards your result.

    What score do I need to pass?

    You need a minimum of 385 points out of 550 to pass the IASSC Green Belt exam. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control phases, so aim for broad mastery of all five.

    Are there any prerequisites to sit the exam?

    No. IASSC sets no formal education, experience or training prerequisites for the Green Belt exam. Training and real-world practice are strongly recommended, which is exactly what this programme provides.

    What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

    Our training is built to prepare you thoroughly with practice questions and full mock exams to reduce that risk. If you need to resit, you purchase a new exam voucher and schedule another attempt. Ask our team about the prep support included with your plan.

    How is the certification renewed?

    To stay current, you pass the IASSC recertification exam within the three-year validity period. It is a shorter exam of 75 questions over two hours with a 70% pass mark, confirming your knowledge remains up to date.

    Course Content

    What topics does the Green Belt training cover?

    The training covers all five DMAIC phases: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control. You learn project scoping, process mapping, measurement system analysis, hypothesis testing, regression, designed experiments, statistical process control and core Lean tools such as 5S and Kanban.

    Do I need prior experience or a maths background?

    No prior experience or advanced maths is required. The course builds the statistics step by step, from basic metrics to hypothesis testing, with practical examples so beginners can follow along and apply the tools with confidence.

    Are practice exercises and mock questions included?

    Yes. The programme includes hands-on DMAIC exercises, practice questions and full-length mock exams aligned to the 100-question, three-hour format, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness before exam day.

    Is the courseware aligned to the IASSC Body of Knowledge?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the IASSC Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge, which structures the content around the five DMAIC phases and the universal minimum competencies the exam tests.

    What materials and support do I receive?

    You receive structured courseware, practice questions, mock exams, project exercises and reference materials, plus learner support before, during and after the sessions to help you apply the tools at work.
