    What is the format of the DevOps Foundation exam?

    The DevOps Foundation exam is closed book with 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions. You have 60 minutes to complete it, and the pass mark is 65%, which is 26 out of 40 correct.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    There are 40 multiple-choice questions and you are given 60 minutes (one hour). The exam is based on the DevOps Foundation Exam Blueprint and the DevOps Foundation Body of Knowledge.

    What topics does the DevOps Foundation exam cover?

    The exam covers six topic areas: DevOps Foundations, DevOps Concepts and Practices, Agile, ITSM and Lean IT, the DevOps Continuous Delivery Pipeline, Automation and Tooling, and DevOps Culture and Organisation.

    Do I need prior DevOps experience to take this course?

    No prior DevOps experience is needed. The course starts from the fundamentals and builds up, so beginners and experienced IT professionals can both follow it comfortably. Basic familiarity with IT concepts is helpful but not required.

    What will I learn in DevOps Foundation training?

    You learn DevOps history and the Three Ways, the CALMS framework, CI/CD and continuous delivery pipelines, infrastructure as code, DevSecOps, SRE, DORA metrics, the DevOps toolchain, and DevOps culture and organisation, mapped to the six exam topic areas.

    How long is the DevOps Foundation training programme?

    The instructor-led programme runs for 16 hours in total. It is usually delivered as two full days or across four half-days, covering all six DevOps Foundation topic areas and preparing you for the exam.
