    What DFSS tools will I practise during the course?

    You practise Voice of the Customer capture and Kano analysis, CTQ flow-down, the QFD House of Quality, Pugh concept selection, Design FMEA with RPN, and robust design using the P-diagram, all on realistic design scenarios.

    How long is the training and what is the format?

    The course runs for one day, about eight hours, and is available as online live virtual, classroom or corporate on-site training. It covers all six DMADV phases with concept explanations and hands-on tool exercises.

    Do I get a credential or qualification from this course?

    Course Content

    What will I learn in the DFSS course?

    You learn the DMADV roadmap and the core DFSS tools: Voice of the Customer and Kano analysis, CTQ flow-down, QFD, concept selection with the Pugh matrix, Design FMEA, robust design, and design verification and validation.

    What is the DMADV methodology?

    DMADV stands for Define, Measure, Analyse, Design and Verify. It is the most widely used DFSS roadmap for designing new products and processes to Six Sigma quality, and it structures the whole course from customer needs to verified design.

    Does the course cover QFD and DFMEA?

    Yes. You build a QFD House of Quality to translate customer requirements into engineering characteristics, and you complete a Design FMEA worksheet, scoring severity, occurrence and detection to prioritise design risks by RPN.

    Can beginners take this course?

    Yes. The course starts from first principles and needs no prior DFSS experience. Hands-on exercises and real design examples make the tools easy to follow, whether you are new to Six Sigma or already work with DMAIC.

    What materials are provided?

    You receive structured learning materials and worked examples for each DMADV phase, plus hands-on exercise templates for VOC to CTQ flow-down, QFD, the Pugh matrix and DFMEA to use during and after the training.
