Is PMI-ACP worth it in Algeria?

Yes. As Algerian banks, telecoms, energy firms and fintech startups adopt agile, certified practitioners are scarce and valued. PMI-ACP signals cross-framework agile capability that employers recognise, supporting stronger roles and pay.

What are the prerequisites for PMI-ACP?

A secondary degree, 2,000 hours of general project experience in the last five years, 1,500 hours of agile experience in the last three years, and 21 contact hours of agile training. PMP or PgMP holders already meet the general experience requirement.

How long is the PMI-ACP certification valid?

The credential is valid for three years. You renew by earning 30 PDUs in agile topics within each three-year cycle and reporting them through PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements system.

Which agile frameworks does PMI-ACP cover?

PMI-ACP spans Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Extreme Programming (XP), Test-Driven Development, Crystal and Feature-Driven Development, which sets it apart from single-framework credentials such as Scrum-only certifications.

How much does PMI-ACP training cost in Algeria?

Training fees vary by format and are available on request in Algerian dinars. Instructor-led and live online options are quoted separately from the PMI exam fee. Request a quote for current DZD pricing and group rates.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training?

No. PMI bills the exam separately in USD: for reference, around USD 435 for members and USD 495 for non-members. PMI membership, about USD 139 per year, can lower the exam cost and unlock free resources.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically covers 24 contact hours of instructor-led training, courseware aligned to the PMI-ACP ECO, practice questions, mock exams, application guidance and learner support. Ask a learning advisor for the full inclusion list.

What is the PMI-ACP exam format?

It is a closed-book exam of 120 multiple-choice questions across seven agile domains defined in the PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline. You have three hours, and it is delivered online-proctored or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

120 questions in a three-hour allotted time. Questions are distributed across the seven domains of the January 2018 ECO, from Agile Principles and Mindset to Continuous Improvement.

What is the passing score for PMI-ACP?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement.

How many attempts do I get for the exam?

Up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts; confirm current amounts on PMI's portal.

Where can I sit the PMI-ACP exam in Algeria?

Online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done via PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website.

Which standard is the exam based on?

The exam is built on the PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline published in January 2018, drawing on the Agile Practice Guide and the recognised agile literature listed in PMI's reference list.

What will I learn in the PMI-ACP course?

You learn to apply agile principles, deliver value early, engage stakeholders, build high-performing teams, plan adaptively, detect problems and drive continuous improvement, mapped to the seven ECO domains.

Does the training meet the 21 contact hours requirement?

Yes. The programme delivers 24 contact hours of agile training, which exceeds and fully satisfies PMI's 21 contact hour education prerequisite for the PMI-ACP application.

Do I need agile experience to take the course?

You can attend the training with limited experience, but sitting the exam requires PMI's experience hours. Trainers cover fundamentals through to advanced techniques, so newer practitioners can follow along.

What learning materials are provided?

You receive ECO-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, agile technique guides and templates covering Scrum, Kanban, Lean and XP tools such as story points, velocity and burndown charts.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest ECO?

Yes. Content is aligned to the current PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline (January 2018), which remains PMI's active outline for the credential.
