Assessment

Is there an exam for this course?

No. This is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Azure exercises throughout the one-day programme, so you practise each tool as you go.

Do I receive anything on completion?

Yes. You receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning after finishing the training. It recognises the practical Azure DevOps skills you have built during the programme.

How is learning assessed during the training?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply each concept through practical exercises, such as configuring pipelines, deploying infrastructure as code and setting up monitoring, so you leave able to use the tools at work.

Will this course make me job ready?

Course Content

What topics does the training cover?

The course covers DevOps principles, Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines (CI/CD), Azure Boards, Azure Artifacts and Azure Test Plans, plus infrastructure as code with ARM and Bicep, containers with ACR and AKS, monitoring with Azure Monitor and Application Insights, and DevSecOps.

Are there hands-on labs?

Yes. Hands-on Azure exercises run throughout, including building a YAML pipeline, deploying a Bicep template, deploying to AKS, and setting up Azure Monitor alerts and a Key Vault-linked variable group.

How long is the training?

The programme runs for one day (8 hours), covering all six modules with concept explanations, Azure architecture context and live exercises. It can also be arranged over two half-days depending on the schedule.

Does the course cover CI/CD pipelines in depth?

Yes. CI/CD is central to the course. You learn continuous integration and continuous delivery with Azure Pipelines, including YAML pipelines, multi-stage deployments, approval gates and strategies such as rolling, canary and blue-green.

Does it cover security and monitoring?

Yes. You learn DevSecOps with Microsoft Defender for DevOps, secret and dependency scanning, and Azure Key Vault integration, as well as observability with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics (KQL) and Application Insights.
