Who offers the DevOps Foundation certification?

The certification is offered by the DevOps Institute, a global professional association, with exams delivered through PeopleCert. Invensis Learning is a DevOps Institute (PeopleCert) Authorised Training Provider for the course.

How long is the DevOps Foundation certification valid?

The certification is valid for three years. It is renewed by earning the required Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through DevOps Institute membership and continuing education activities within each three-year cycle.

What is the format of the DevOps Foundation exam?

The DevOps Foundation exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination with single-answer questions, based on the DevOps Foundation Exam Blueprint. It covers six topic areas spanning DevOps foundations, practices, Agile and ITSM, the delivery pipeline, automation and culture.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 40 questions and you have 60 minutes (one hour) to complete it. It is a single-answer, multiple-choice format.

What is the passing score for DevOps Foundation?

The passing score is 65%, which means answering at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly. Broad understanding across all six topic areas is the best way to prepare.

Where can I take the DevOps Foundation exam?

You can sit the exam online through PeopleCert OnVUE proctoring or at an authorised test centre. It is usually arranged through your training provider as part of a training and exam package.

Are there any prerequisites to sit the exam?

No. DevOps Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, regardless of education, experience or prior DevOps knowledge. Familiarity with basic IT concepts is helpful but not required.

Yes. The course is designed as an entry point and assumes no prior DevOps knowledge. Concepts are built up from the ground with real examples, so beginners and experienced IT staff alike can follow along.

You receive blueprint-aligned courseware, industry case studies covering CALMS and the Three Ways, practice questions and mock exams to build exam readiness and reinforce the concepts.

How long is the training programme?

The DevOps Foundation training is a 16-hour programme, usually delivered over two full days or four half-days depending on the schedule format you choose.
