There is no formal examination. This is a practical skills course, so learning is reinforced through hands-on Azure DevOps exercises completed throughout the day rather than a test.

Do I receive anything on completion?

Yes. On completing the programme you receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning, recognising the practical Azure DevOps skills you have built.

Will I get hands-on practice during the course?

Absolutely. You follow along in the live Azure DevOps portal and CLI, building a repository with branch policies, a YAML CI/CD pipeline, a Bicep deployment, an AKS release and Azure Monitor alerts.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will be able to create Git repositories, write YAML pipelines, design multi-stage releases to App Service or AKS, deploy Bicep templates, set up Azure Monitor and Application Insights, and integrate security into the pipeline.

Are the skills applicable straight away at work?

Yes. The skills are immediately usable and do not expire. You leave able to design and operate real delivery pipelines on Microsoft Azure in your own organisation.

Course Content

What topics does the Azure DevOps course cover?

The course covers DevOps principles and the Azure DevOps ecosystem, Azure Repos and CI, continuous delivery with Azure Pipelines, agile planning with Azure Boards, infrastructure as code, containerisation with ACR and AKS, monitoring, and DevSecOps.

Will I learn CI/CD with Azure Pipelines?

Yes. A core focus is building YAML pipelines for automated build, test and artifact publishing, then extending them into multi-stage deployments with approval gates and strategies such as canary and blue-green.

Does the course cover infrastructure as code?

Yes. You learn infrastructure as code with ARM templates and Bicep, including deployment modes, what-if previews and reusable modules, and how to deploy them from Azure Pipelines.

Is Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) included?

Yes. The containerisation module covers Docker images, Azure Container Registry and deploying to Azure Kubernetes Service using kubectl, Helm and Azure Pipelines, along with monitoring for container workloads.

What learning materials are provided?

You receive structured courseware, guided hands-on exercises for the live Azure DevOps portal and CLI, and supporting reference materials that map to each of the six modules.

Do I need my own Azure account?

You should have access to an Azure subscription and an Azure DevOps organisation, with a free tier available at dev.azure.com. We can confirm whether a shared training environment is provided when you book.
