Are there any Azure account costs?

Azure DevOps is free for up to five users at dev.azure.com, and Azure services used during exercises may incur usage charges on your own subscription. Check whether a shared training environment is provided when you enrol.

Certification

Is there an exam for this course?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination. Your learning is reinforced through hands-on Azure DevOps exercises across the one-day programme rather than a formal test.

Do I receive a certificate after completing the training?

Yes. On completing the programme you receive a Course Completion Certificate from Invensis Learning, recognising that you have completed the hands-on Azure DevOps training.

Is this an official Microsoft certification?

No. The course builds practical, job-ready Azure DevOps skills and is not a Microsoft certification or exam-prep programme. It focuses on applying the Azure DevOps toolchain in real delivery scenarios.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. You learn by doing, configuring pipelines, writing infrastructure as code, deploying containers and setting up monitoring in live Azure exercises guided by the trainer.

Will this training help me pursue further Azure learning?

Course Content

What topics does the Azure DevOps course include?

The course covers DevOps principles and the Azure ecosystem, source control with Azure Repos, CI/CD with Azure Pipelines, agile planning with Azure Boards, infrastructure as code with ARM and Bicep, containers with ACR and AKS, monitoring with Azure Monitor, and DevSecOps.

Will I get hands-on practice during the training?

Yes. Hands-on Azure exercises run throughout, including creating a repository with branch policies, writing a YAML CI pipeline, deploying with a multi-stage pipeline, writing a Bicep template, and setting up Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

Does the course cover CI/CD pipelines in depth?

Yes. You learn to design YAML pipelines with triggers, stages, jobs and tasks, publish build artifacts, add deployment stages with approvals and gates, and use deployment strategies such as rolling, canary and blue-green on Azure.

Are infrastructure as code and containers covered?

Yes. The course covers infrastructure as code with ARM templates and Bicep, and containerised deployment using Docker, Azure Container Registry and Azure Kubernetes Service with Helm, all deployed from Azure Pipelines.

Is the content up to date with current Azure DevOps services?

Yes. The curriculum reflects the current Azure DevOps toolchain and Azure-native services, including Azure Pipelines, Bicep, AKS, Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Microsoft Defender for DevOps.
